For those trying to get too cute and play matchups over studs... (1 Viewer)

For those of you who benched Chris Johnson tonight (against Indy - really?) and are overthinking your lineups based on matchups, I give you my lifetime idiot play of grabbing Bobby Hebert off the wire because he played the worst ranked pass D in the NFL week 1 of the playoffs. I sat my top 5 QB (forgot which one) and Hebert promptly throws SIX freakin' INT's. At -2 per, let's just say I lost.

If you're going to go out - go out with your best talent. I submit that you don't EVER sit CJ, Peyton, etc...

Funny thing is that Hebert had another 6-INT game two weeks later. :bye:

The top-6 fantasy QBs that season (and their stats in Week 14):

1. Steve Young (179 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs)

2. John Elway (171 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT) :X

3. Warren Moon (342 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT)

4. Jeff Hostetler (289 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 1 rushing TD)

5. Hebert (317 yards, 2 TDs, 6 INTs)

6. Boomer Esiason (145 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs) :X

Looks like Week 14 was unkind to a lot of QBs that year. Depending on your scoring system, Hebert might have been one of the top scorers of the week. :goodposting:
