Kyle Sonneman, of DenverBroncos.com, reports Denver Broncos QB Bradlee Van Pelt has been having a very good offseason and is having some of his best practices of his career according to head coach Mike Shanahan, "He's been throwing very well. In fact, today is one of the best days he's had since he's been here." Van Pelt has been number two on the depth chart since the beginning of last season but is proving to be a worthy challenger to starting QB Jake Plummer.

Excuse me. Since when is Jake Plummer being challenged for the #1 job this year, I understand Cutler in a few years but now Bradlee Van Pelt. What is going on in Brocoes camp? Or are these sportswriters being sensationalist?

Excuse me. Since when is Jake Plummer being challenged for the #1 job this year, I understand Cutler in a few years but now Bradlee Van Pelt. What is going on in Brocoes camp? Or are these sportswriters being sensationalist?

Yeah, while it's nice to know that Van Pelt is a solid #2 on the depth chart ahead of Cutler, the idea that he's gonna jack Plummer's job in training camp is utterly ludicrous.

i'm doubting it. plummer's been fantastic during the season for the Broncos. unless Plummer is injured, this is unlikely to occur.

Plummer's only way to keep his job next year, however, is to play better in the playoffs.
