Frank Gore injured on MNF (1 Viewer)

Westbrook has come in and done very well, hes over 100 yards at over 6 yards per carry. If you have Gore hopefully you were smart enough to handcuff. We will have to see if Gore misses any time, Westbrook could be a worth while pickup if Gores injury is one that will need time. Updates as they come.

FWIW Dixon has looked pretty blah in my opinion. Dancing around in the backfield twinkle toeing right into the back of his line.....

Westbrook has looked fantastic in contrast. I think he's gonna get the majority of carries if Gore misses time....

Maybe I heard it wrong but I thought shortly after halftime that they announced head injury. Also would explain why they took his helmet from him. I may have misheard though.

Grabbed Westy in both leagues halfway thru the 2nd quarter....

FWIW, didnt even need him in one, but my bench is average so if he starts next week I'll definitely plug him in. Other league the last 3 playoff spots depend on this weeks outcome, my RBs are terrible, so I dropped Hernandez for him hoping he can give me good numbers at least for week 13.

Here's to hoping Gore needs to rest up a few weeks :banned:

No I believe it was hip.And westbrook is clearly the guy after this, 26 carries for 130 yards and a score. Not bad for someone we all thought was basically done being able to run around well out there. Hes 30 years old he isnt dead yet.

First come first serve, eh? Lucky for you. I was gonna make the obvious snide remark that people tend to make to posts like this, but I think I'll pass and just :D  and hope Gore comes back strong next week.

I need him back for the playoffs in Week 14 vs Seattle or I am one and done. I rather have him take the time to heal and miss the Green Bay game. But I feel if he can go he will, as SF cannot afford to lose any games.

Westbrook may be the starter, but his numbers vs the AZ 'defense' can't be used to draw any conclusions about future production.

seen leaving in crutches which to me... is baffling. he was begging to go back in, stayed in pads and was walking around the sidelines...

then it's reported he was walking gingerly and on crutches (leaving the stadium)?

something doesnt add up...

He got shot up the first time he went to the locker and tried to go. By the end of the game the shot had worn off.

Speaking from personal experience, mine hurt like hell the first 2-3 days then kinda wore off.. mind you I wasnt running into 300pnd freaks of nature at full speeds.

Lets hope it's just a fresh pain that'll dull and be managable... With the season on the line, I cant see gore wanting to sit.

i thought it was the opposite, after he left......49'ers were at the goal line, coach walked up to him like he was asking him if he could get back in, and it didnt look like he said yes.

I wasnt on the sidelines... but there was mention of him trying to go back in... staff hiding his helmet... coulda been BS, but im gonna say if he was still in pads, he wanted back in. He did however take himself out, but it was afterwards I think he wanted some play

Am I reading this right?? Gore out for year?

JasonLaCanfora

Big win for 49ers but at a price - Frank Gore out for season with a hip injury. Tough loss. Brian Westbrook next man up.

wow hard to imagine what this injury was that he stayed in pads but the determined this quickly that he's done for the year

depends what #### stands for. don't understand why any anger is directed towards me, rather than him who childishly and obnoxiously said "i hate your effing face if this is a lie"

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora is reporting that Frank Gore will miss the remainder of the season with a hip injury. - Rotoworld

I'm so confused right now...

I typically believe these reports... and still kinda do. but everything I saw today screams otherwise.

I'll wait for an official report before I say goodbye to my season

49ers beat reporter confirms it as well

Frank Gore has a fractured right hip, 49ers say. Likely done for the season.
Tough break for Gore owners. Do we really need 18 games of this? What about 20, or 22? When can you see that enough is enough. The game is too physical to extend longer than it already is. The superstars of the sport will all be getting injured and shortening their careers. I love football and can't wait for every season to start and am sad when it's over but I'm fine with a 16 game regular season. There are just way too many injuries to extend for the purpose of greed.

Here we go again...

Hip fracture? Really? Either he doesn't drink enough milk or he has the skeletal system of an 85 year old man. Jeez.

This is the 2nd time in 3 years he's gonna screw me by missing the entire playoffs. Problem is, he helped carry me to the playoffs.....and now I'm stuck at the back of the waiver wire. Zero chance I get Westbrook to replace him.
