Frank Gore injured on MNF (1 Viewer)

Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (hip) suffered a fractured hip Monday, Nov. 29, against the Arizona Cardinals and is likely done for the remainder of the season, reports CSNBayArea.com's Matt Maiocco.

No link (grabbed it from MFL), but not looking good.

Just rolled it out on ESPN too... fractured hip, gone for the season.

Tough break (no pun intended) for a good guy.

I know Westy did well, but is he the one to have or is it Dixon?
It was against the Cardinals... I wouldn't be surprised if Steven Jackson actually finds the end zone against them next week.Oh that's crazy talk, I'm going to bed.
haha. sjax has had plenty of gl opps the last 2 weeks. the best was last week when he ran it for no gain, then they tried to throw to him but it was no gain and he hurt his hand in the process and left the game. obv next play darby walks in.

This is so brutal two weeks before the playoffs, gonna be a big hit to a lot of teams

I almost wanna pull a Stevie Johnson and ask why God hates me so much.

I have Gore in my 49er homer league. A ppr. My other backs are Foster and Charles. Very bummed for him.. however grateful for not having to pick between Gore and JC. Guessed wrong these past 2 weeks.

I know it's tough on teams with short roster space, but in the middle of the season I picked up Snelling (Own Turner) and last week I picked up Bush (McFadden Owner). Not saying I'm great for doing it, but you never know this time of year what can happen to your star players. I bet a lot of teams will be adding the handcuff this week after seeing the potential of Peterson going down, and now Gore definitely lost for the season.

Bummer :jawdrop:

Devastating for me personally as Gore was a centerpiece of many of my teams this year. Between he and Nicks, my playoff bound squads are now looking like paper tigers.

Anyone have an idea to when it happened? I gotta think it was on the 2nd play of the game where a lineman missed his open field block on Lenon and Smith hung him out to dry on that floater of a screen pass. Lenon blew him up and Gore took an awful long time to walk back to the huddle.

Tough break for him. Guy looked ready to go on a tear.

No offense, but telling us about your lineup has no place in a thread about Gore's injury. I'm sure other Gore owners don't want to hear about your lineup either.

Hip fracture? Really? Either he doesn't drink enough milk or he has the skeletal system of an 85 year old man. Jeez. This is the 2nd time in 3 years he's gonna screw me by missing the entire playoffs. Problem is, he helped carry me to the playoffs.....and now I'm stuck at the back of the waiver wire. Zero chance I get Westbrook to replace him.
Don't worry...pick up the other guy Dixon....Westy will be on the injury report in no time....hell as early as this week with a sore knee.

Damn, Frank! I praise you 24/7! And this is how you do me? You expect me to learn from this? How? I'll never forget this! EVER! Thx tho ...

:goodposting: After starting 6-0 in my league with Gore I'm now 8-4 and can officially flush my season down the toilet. Under the league set up I will likely still win some $$$ but the way I started the season I was thinking 4 figures. Not anymore. ;)

My draft in 1 league:Rd 1: GoreRd 2: RomoRd 3: NicksRd 4: FinleyRd 6: SpillerI'll keep you guys updated.
Gore, Nicks, Romo, Stafford, Zach Miller, J Best in my main league... :banned:
Guys tell me fantasy is more skill than luck, whatever.
If you had a decent size roster... this would be all about skill. If you have a puny roster, you are applying luck to it.Try opening up your roster to 2.5 times your starting requirements.

well after this one of my redraft teams is done (I know nobody cares.)

Specualtion on dynasty value? He'll be 28 next season and coming off an injury which will likely have some folks scared. Does Gore enter Turner value range now: too productive to sell cheap, but few folks willing to pay much value for him (basically trade purgatory?)

My drafted RBs this year were Gore, DeAngello Williams, Ryan Grant, and Portis.

Someone just sank my battleship.

Anytime. And thanks for bumping my update and thanks for caring. :)

Same here. Some notable top players on my 9-3 team:

Frank Gore, Jahvid Best, Hakeem Nicks, Zach Miller

Still have a chance with my remaining players, but it is going to be sickly hard

In order. Finley, Thomas, Addai, Nicks and Gore. Still hanging on to a playoff spot by a thread.
