Gore has been very disappointing the last couple of weeks. I think the offensive line has a lot to do with it because I know he's been running hard. This weekend plays the Jets and I'm thinking of benching him for Leon Washington. Anybody have more insight on what is effecting his play and his outlook for the fantasy playoffs? The NYJ run D scares me, but Hillis seemed to do fine this past week, yet they shut down CJ just a week earlier? Plus, I think the Jets will get out to an early lead and SF will have to throw to catch up (not that they don't do that enough already). I hate Martz. Why isn't he using him as a receiver lately? Last four games:

1 catch, 6 cards

2 catches, 8 yards

1 catch, 6 yards,

3 catches, 23 yards

Could this have to do with Hill not checking down to the RB as much as O'Sullivan did?

Next 3 matchups:

NYJ

@MIA

@STL

Options would have to be pretty good to bench a guy who gets those carries. I am rolling with him and hoping to get to the week 16 matchup at STL, which should be great. Other two match-ups shouldn't be too bad, NYJ going cross country and Hillis just rolled them last week, MIA does not score a lot so that game should be close.

Plus when they do get to the goal line, he gets the carries. Who would you bench him for?

i dont know how many times i have said this, but Gore's lack of production in the receiving game dropped off a cliff when Singletary became the HC. It's not Martz.

i'm extremely worried this week. i have even considered throwing pierre thomas or chester out there in gores place.

in the end i keep coming back to the conclusion that i'm just overthinking things and need to ride gore.

either way i'm sure my reaction on sunday will be the same: :goodposting:

Gore got 20+ carries in an SF win this week. So, based on Martz's history, this week he'll have 7 carries for 22 yards in a close loss.

I don't think it's Singletary that took Gore out of the passing game, it's Hill.

I don't think so. From what I understand, Martz is still calling all the shots on offense. The QB switch was the only thing that was Singletary's doing.

i don't think its singletary.i think its hill. look at Hill's first game--gore had the most targets and receptions from hill as he was getting used to the system. now that hill is comfortable, the targets are all down the field.the one change i have seen is that gore is being kept in to block more often than before, which *gasp* could have something to do with Hill having more time to throw than JTO. glad Martz finally figured out that correlation!
