Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills, RB (1 Viewer)

Okay, Lynch is suspended for 3 games, which could be lowered to 2. So, if he stays suspended for 2-3 games you have a guy who's going to start in Fred Jackson for the first few weeks who went:

Att: 130 Yds: 571 Avg: 4.4 TDs: 3 Rcp: 37 Rec yrds: 317

...in only 3 starts last year. His ADP right now is somewhere in the 8-10th rounds. Doesn't he provide you a nice cozy cushion in the 8-10th round knowing he can start for you for the first couple weeks? What about planning on taking him then, so you select a RB with question marks (Moreno, Wells, Bush, etc) knowing full well you don't need them to start until week 3 or 4?

You select your #1 RB in the 1st, are able to grab two stud receivers in rounds 2 and 3. Rounds 4-7 you are able to grab your QB, TE, and your question mark RBs, and then in the 8-10th Freddy Jackson is waiting for you - a bonafide starter for weeks 1-3. By week 3 or 4 one of your question mark RBs is the obvious starter and you put Freddy J on your bench or trade him to the Lynch owner.

I like this strategy. I have a lot of confidence in Jackson and think he will play a larger role than expected even when Lynch returns...

I like this idea too, but it's hard to know when to pull the trigger on Fred J. Depending on how savvy your leaguemates are, I could see Freddy getting snatched up in Rounds 6-7, as he did in one of my drafts. If I grabbed Lynch in the 4th, would I pull the trigger on FJ in the 5th or 6th? I don't know.

I don't plan of touching Lynch in my draft. I personally think Lynch is a liability, and he'll be taken way too early for me. I think even after he returns it's going to be a rbbc in Buffalo (assuming Jackson plays well while Lynch is out).

Although, taking a look at the SOS on the main page, the first 3 weeks are the worst of the season for the RB. Week 1 and 3 are particulary bad. At NEP and NOS at home.

Not my take, but according to the SOS on the main page. So take that into conisderation and Marshawn could be back starting as soon as he gets legal.

Peace
