Where do you see him ending up at the end of the season as far as FF rank?

He's been a bright spot in my lineup due to injuries and bad play by my other RBs.

If he keeps this pace up, I see him in the top 7.

I've been thrilled with his performance so far, and I can't see any reason for it to let up. The thing that's been really interesting is seeing how much they have gotten him involved in the passing game the past two weeks. Watching the replay, he was lined up in receiving packages quite a bit. In PPR leagues, this is huge.

My gut says to sell high, because I see a potential slip as the season moves on...but I don't think I'm willing to sell him right now. He's been my most consistent player by far.

I see a "team slip" which will impact Fred. In redraft, his maximum value is in my line-up. I can't really replace the production and trade offers are always tempered by that "it's Fred Jackson" mentality. I truly believe he could stay on this pace for another six weeks and potential trade partners in my league would still say, "but it's Fred Jackson".

His current pace would be good for top 3 virtually every year in non-ppr.His YPC came down a bit, but the Bengals have been fairly good on run defense. At this point in the season we are still trying to figure out if these teams are what they seem to be. Given the way SF tore up Philly on the ground, and that the Bengals bottled up SF, and now bottled Fred Jackson pretty decently on the ground, I would say they are a legit run defense. He is getting the vast majority of the carries on his team. They split him out wide and get him involved in the passing offense. They go out of their way to feature him as the prime player on offense. Buffalo offense has moved the ball well and he is the man at the goal line as well. At the same time, he isn't being worked into the dust a la Hillis last year, so hopefully he can hold up. Each week he is starting to look more and more like a top 6 RB.

I agree, and that's probably what's held back his production the past few years - not a lot of talent around him, but clearly that's changed. The other potential issue I see is if he wears down over the course of the season with this kind of workload. He hasn't had a ton of tread on the tires, but he's still no spring chicken in NFL running back years.

have you guys seen his cake walk playoff schedule from week 14-16? He's a great buy to an owner looking to rebuild in dynasty imo. i got him in a trade of starks and a pick next year.

I am not worried about that. Jackson usually gets about 14-18 carries and 3-5 receptions. That only equates to about 300-330 touches. That's not a huge load. And Jackson still has a lot left in the tank.....it's not like he's logged multiple 300-330 touch seasons. What I like about Jackson is he's consistenly getting action in the passing game so even if he doesn't score a TD, he's getting you 60+ yards rushing, 3-4 catches and 25-30 more yards there, for about a 12 point floor in PPR.He's in my lineup in the leagues that I own him. Over others that I drafted ahead of him, like Ingram and Steven Jackson.

BumpHe has a favorable schedule which is another reason I think owners should hang on to him. If you got him... you probably didn't draft him high...he's paying dividends and you're reaping benefits. If you're playing for a championship keep him. Sell him after championship game to bottom dwellers for draft picks. Fe's doing well on a favorable schedule. I equate this to what Cassell did in 2010. Cassel's production has dropped off significantly. If this is possible with FJAX in 2012 for whatever reason be ready to sell but ride through week 16.

Cowboy's stadium built on top of Fred Jackson's childhood home

If Fred Jackson's(notes) looking for some extra motivation for this weekend's game against the Dallas Cowboys, he can always remember the fact that Jerry Jones tore down his childhood home.

In fairness to Jones, this happened way before he ever knew of Fred Jackson, and a lot of other peoples' homes suffered the same fate. See, Jones needed someplace to build his new stadium, and that happened to be the site of Fred Jackson's old neighborhood.

This all happened in 2004, when Jones was just putting together plans for his giant football palace, and Fred Jackson was plying his trade for the Sioux City Bandits of the National Indoor Football League.

Jackson's not mad about it, though. He and his family were Cowboys fans, and he was kind of excited that his home was getting the wrecking ball so that an NFL stadium could be built.
