Fred Taylor (1 Viewer)

Did Freddie practice today? He's officially listed as Questionable.
From Sportsline:News: Jaguars RB Fred Taylor missed practice Friday because of a groin injury and was listed as questionable for Jacksonville's game Sunday against Houston. Taylor practiced Wednesday, then had limited participation Thursday. Taylor leads the team with 207 yards rushing, just ahead of Maurice Jones-Drew.

John Clayton, of ESPN, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars will let RB Fred Taylor (groin) decide if he is fit to play during Week 6.

As a MJD owner multiple times over... because I traded for him every chance I got in redrafts... and even though I am startng MJD everywhere this week...

I hope that (this Sunday) Jacksonville runs Fred Taylor 53 times and also lets him handle all the punting and kicking duties. He can even do returns as a bonus.

Is this the same John Clayton that said that Derrick Ward was OUT and Reuben Droughns would start 2 weeks ago?Just asking.

Yep. Your point? If it's that Clayton is capable of reports that are innaccurate, or are overtaken by events, then I'll take his news flash over yours. :coffee:

Slight update. Actually, more of a confirmation of what John Clayton is reporting:

Fred Taylor (questionable, groin) confirmed Friday that his status for Week 6 won't be known until just before game time."I know I could go if I wanted," Taylor said. "But we don't have any more off weeks. I'll get out there, stretch and see how it feels. At practice today, I was able to explode on it. I think they're gonna leave it up to me, but we'll see." Maurice Jones-Drew will start against Tennessee if Fragile Fred can't.
Taylor would be smart to sit this one out. This could just get worse and worse for him if he doesn't get it healthy.Either way, I have a feeling Drew gets most of the carries against Houston.

MJD is going to blow up this week. He might not be able to grind out those tough yards in the 4th quarter like Fred can, but he can score any time he touches the ball. The jags have to start utilizing his skills better if they want to be anything more than a ball control conservative offense.

???MJD tends to get more carries in the 4th qtr, I believe.

It seems like they are starting to mix in Jones as well.
