An MRI on Freddy Garcia's shoulder Monday revealed "some pathology" of the labrum and "fraying" of the rotator cuff.

"Hopefully, he won't have to go to surgery, but, from what I hear, he might have to go," White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. "That's a shame, because [the Phillies] are missing a pretty good pitcher." Garcia will seek a second opinion and may undergo season ending surgery to repair the shoulder.

I guess the good news is he's a FA after this year anyway, so the Phils won't be paying him 10 million for rehab.
