Free Agents in Keeper Leagues (1 Viewer)

Currently in a league where in order to keep a player you surrender the draft pick in whichever round you took him in. I'm curious how some of you deal with keeper leagues that allow you to keep Free Agents. Originally my Commish said you give up your last pick (20th) but then I reminded him of all the players that burst out of free agency over the years (Colston, Romo, Boldin, Warner, Royal etc etc). Obviously one lucky FA pickup can tip the scales in a keeper league for years.

So other than not allowing Free Agent keepers how do you designate what pick to surrender?

we use 7th round draft choice. fair compensation if you pick a stud, but not for average players
