Free Parking at Disney (1 Viewer)

Hello FBG. For the rare FBG who doesn't bring in $200K, I'm looking for a way to park free at Disney. We've heard you can go to one of the resorts and say that you're there for check-in and they'll let you in and you can park for free. I imagine that they have some kind of list of guests who have reservations. Anyone successfully done this or have ideas about how to do it?

Thanks fellas.

You should be fine. Nobody's really on the ball at the hotels. Or you can park a couple miles away in some residential area and just uber the rest of the way.

Isn't it 20 bucks to park?  Which is basically nothing once you've grabbed your ankles and paid their ticket prices, which I will be doing soon myself.

If you can produce a death certificate for an immediate family member in the last week they will allow you and a companion in for free to the park.

there's a Disney Vacation thread here with several regulars capable of answering this question.  I recommend posting it there.

Stay at a place with continental breakfast and use the meal savings to park.

Or skip lunch at Disney and buy a used car with the savings; then just ditch it at the airport on the way home and write it off on your taxes. You'll save more than $20 this way plus you'll have a story to tell on the Disney forums.

Used to be you could rent a kid in a wheelchair to get free handicapped parking AND front-of-the-line privileges for up to 6 in a group, but they got wise to that and are cracking down. No shtick. Couple years back you could just find some crippled kid on Craigslist and he'd hang out with you all day to get you up front for everything. Seriously. Google it.
:lmao:

genius idea

I always dress as Pluto and tell the gate guy my car broke down and this is a loaner.  Family rides in the trunk. :moneybag:

I recommend just paying it and be done with it but if you really want an answer then the only option I think you have is to park at Disney Springs and then take a Disney Transportation bus to the park.  I wouldn't do it because it will be a huge PITA and save you ~$100.

Also, I doubt that option would work if you are trying to get to the park early for the opening.  As others have said - you've paid for tickets, if you don't have the extra $100 to park for the week then maybe you should have considered a different location for vacation.

just park a couple of miles outside the park at a dennys and then walk in you will feel healthy and refreshed with energy when you arrive and hey whats this well its a nice stack of fivers in your pocket to boot so bam another riddle solved by the old swcer take that to the bank bromigo

-Make reservations at the Polynesian for breakfast, then just hop on the monorail.

-park at another hotel, downtown Disney and get on the bus network

-find someone that has a passholder armband, and chop off their arm.  Show the arm with the magic band to the toll booth operator.

My only issue with the Disney parking is let me buy a weekly pass.  I don't even care if it's the same price as paying each day daily.

Give me a line that I get to go through for all passholders.

If you are going around 10:30 or 11. Say you are eating at the ESPN club and park in the Boardwalk resort parking lot.

My wife's family always does the former at Disneyland. They stay at the best western right across from the entrance and always eat the free breakfast to justify the parking cost associated.

Easy, been doing it for years. Drive to the Caribbean beach resorts and say you're going to eat at the Old Port Royale, then park anywhere near a bus stop and take their busses to the park.

Yeah, that's my wife for you.
I call bull####. Don't blame your wife for this. This was your own idea. Every guy knows how to actually handle these kinds of crazy questions from their wives: after 24 hours, you say you looked into it but it's not possible.

He strikes me as a "pack in your own food" type, so this is a no go.

Wait a second.  This makes a lot of sense.  So you can park at Downtown Disney for  free and then catch the monorail?  Why wouldn't more people do this?  I would like to end up at Downtown Disney at night anyway.  How late does the monorail run to get you there?
