In preparation for my draft on Sunday, I'd like to get some data on where Portis is going at this moment.

It's not Sunday yet..........What about Sunday drafters. THey need not apply?![]()

Drafting 1.07 and 2.06 in my 12-teamer on Monday and I would be sooooooo happy to find him there at 2.06!2.06 in my 12-team redraft last night.JJones went just before Portis and Bush was the next RB selected.Disclaimer: This league had a VERY strange draft....I've been in it for 10 years and last night was just odd with players being taken way too early or being left out there way too long. I did my best to fix it, but I only had one pick per round. In short, I think 2.06 is too late for him. I passed at 2.02 because I have Portis in another league and didn't want two teams hinging on his shoulder.
Because Betts is also fighting injury, because Portis could have a recurrence of the injury, because they want to spare Portis short yardage hits, especially early in the season. The Duckett trade was a giveaway . . . Portis will miss some time; otherwise, why would Washington give away a first day pick . . .then again, they did trade for Brandon Lloyd . . .
so they give up a first day pick for that?? no way . . . and Betts got more carries than any other Redskins RB tonight . . .Because Betts is also fighting injury, because Portis could have a recurrence of the injury, because they want to spare Portis short yardage hits, especially early in the season. The Duckett trade was a giveaway . . . Washington expects to be drafting very low this year, so it's barely a first-day pick. More importantly, Snyder's not exactly patient. He doesn't want this injury to be a season killer for the Redskins. At the very least, Duckett is insurance. I hear you, and if you're correct, that's some expensive insurance . . .Washington expects to be drafting very low this year, so it's barely a first-day pick. I took him 24th overall in a keep 1 salary league witha cap of $100. His salary is $36. Had to take him at that point. $36 was too high for most.In preparation for my draft on Sunday, I\'d like to get some data on where Portis is going at this moment.![]()
You're actually NOT hearing me. I expect Duckett to be the short yardage back including goal-line. I said at the very LEAST, he's insurance given the pounding running backs take and the possibility for recurrence. I do expect Portis will see a lighter workload, especially in the first half of the season. Your post suggests Portis will miss at least Week 1 in its entirety, and that is where I disagree. You could be right about him missing Week 1, but there is no information out there to suggest it. We'll know on September 11. I don't consider a late third round pick to be a high price considering they acquired a proven commodity. It's not a flier like the Broncos with Clarett. Talk about a third round pick being wasted... I wish the Steelers had offered the Falcons a 3rd instead of a 4th. Then they would have Duckett for short yardage instead of a series of question marks. Pittsburgh may regret NOT trading away their 3rd round pick. We shall see.I hear you, and if you're correct, that's some expensive insurance . . .Washington expects to be drafting very low this year, so it's barely a first-day pick. That's what everyone is thinking, but they are looking pretty bad in preseason. I don't put any weight in W's & L's in the preseason, but the Redskins are not just losing, they are looking bad doing it.Washington expects to be drafting very low this year, so it's barely a first-day pick. Given their brutal division, it wouldn't surprise me if they missed the playoffs even if they end up as one of the ten best teams in the league. I'm just projecting THEIR mindset concerning the pick. That's what everyone is thinking, but they are looking pretty bad in preseason.
