1. Jamie Foxx playing Ray Charles

2. Jacquin Phoenix playing Johnny Cash.

Who do you think had good performances playing musicians?

I was going to say the same thing. The movie kind of stunk, but Kilmer was good.

Gary Busey was nominated for an Oscar for playing Buddy Holly.

The Rose was loosely based on Janis Joplin and Bette Midler was great. I

Gary Busey was amazing in The Buddy Holly Story. Lost a boatload of weight, learned all the songs and performed them on the soundtrack.

Dennis Quaid was terrible as Jerry Lee Lewis. Totally overdone gooberville.
