Game on Peacock Network.
Game in Brazil.
Sounds an awful lot like a two-time loser, to me.
I hope the Teams and any U.S. citizen fans who travel to the game, get to and from the United States safely, but that otherwise, this is a marketing disaster so bad, that it compels the NFL to never try this again.
In theory I'm right there with you except I absolutely LOVE the idea of Friday Night Football
-Thursday is just too early and one more day of rest or ram up before the game would make for a better product IMHO, I wish they would make TNF into FNF
This was originally billed as "Saturday Night Football" when TNF premiered back in Nov '06 I think and it evolved and it's been like 10-12 years maybe since its been a weekly steady thing
Just for reference when I was a kid in the early 80s and trying to fight my parents to stay up so i could watch MNF, it was like 10 years old or '71 when MNF premiered, something close
But those 10 years felt like a long time in history where these TNF games have just never really had the same impact as MNF had and in fact many fans detest these Thursday Night games.
I still would like to see Saturday stay mostly college football although I hear the NFL is trying to get more involved on Saturdays, especially once November rolls around.
I'd like to see the NFL move Thursdays to Friday Nights, nobody wants to watch whatever college games they run on ESPN, a juicy NFL game on Friday Nights would draw ratings
Nobody goes out any more, everyone is home, just run an NFL game and its insta-ratings
How would TNF have done vs say Night Court in '85 or perhaps Seinfeld in '94?
