Furrey train continue this week? (1 Viewer)

Are you sitting him or full steam ahead? ..thinking about sitting Plax for him.looks like an OK matchup
You may want to reconsider this. Wash is suceptable to giving up the big play and Plax could benefit. I don't know anything just a feeling I have. I would start Plax in this situation. I guess I am not on the Furrey train. One good week in 4 years is not enough for me.

He MIGHT be turning into Isaac Bruce (WR2 on a Martz offense) but I'd like to see a couple more weeks of 8+ targets before I start him.

no love for the performance from last week for Furrey?
It was against St. Louis.

He was with Martz for 3 years in St. Louis and barely saw the field. I think this is more of a reflection on the Detroit WR situation. I guess I'm just not buying him.

Or how good the StL WR situation is/has been.

I'm sold on him. Kitna was practically GLUED to him in the redzone, and he made 2 big catches for TD's vs. Rams. He's a playmaker from what I watched.

Granted I'm never big on white dudes at WR, after being converted from Safety, but hey...stranger things have happened.

That being said, NO, I am not playing him this week.

I'll be playing Bruce and Cotchery, benching A. Boldin (with C. Johnson on bye).

If does ANYTHING notable vs. the vikes, he might crack my starting lineup.

I'm definitely intrigued by Furrey's upside. He's worth a flyer as a WR4 or WR5 to see if he can develop into a WR3 or spot-start WR2, but benching Burress for Furrey is absolutely ludicrous.

I said this in another thread, but I'm not jumping on the Furrey Train.

Detroit can't play St.Louis every week and last week was all about Martz and his HUGE ego. You know, the EX-RAMS Martz and Furrey?

Martz wanted to make a point. Did he?? Sort of, but the Lions still lost.

I could be wrong, but I'm not buying a ticket for the train just yet.

But he accounted for alot of offense last week, and hasn't been all that bad in his other games, just not breakout type games. Why would Det bench him or Kitna not throw his way anymore? Makes no sense. Guy should get ample amounts of targets when Roy draws extra attention, or Martz should be on his way out of Dtown sooner than expected (well maybe not).

I am on the train, but I am only starting him as a WR3 this week. (My best option at WR3.) I am cautious this week however because A. Winfield of the Vikings called him, "My guy Furrey." in the paper today. If Smoot were on him, I would go full steam ahead, but being it is Winfield, I am cautious...
