Future Value of DENVER's TE'S (1 Viewer)

I'm in a ppr 6pts/td 20 team keeper league and looking to the future for a shoot for the fences TE pick...I'm trying to determine who is more valuable...J Thomas or V Green? Thoughts?

Cheers

Use the search function. There was plenty of talk on these guys in the offseason and nothing significant has changed the situation so far.

TEs under John Fox have little value IMO. As a Panther homer, I don't recall any TE under Fox having FF success.

Fells (knee) and Thomas (ankle) are hurt right now. So it's Virgil Green, for the moment. Might be a good blocking TE, but I doubt he amounts to much as a receiving threat / fantasy TE. I'm not sure how long Fells is out, but he's mediocre at best. When Thomas recovers from his high ankle sprain, he could make some noise. As noted, he does have John Fox's history working against him, but he could be a better receiver than most all of the TEs Fox has ever had. He's not going to be an every down player though as his blocking is suspect, and that will limit his upside.

Best to avoid the situation for now, but monitor Thomas.

Julius Thomas is the one you want. Great dynasty stash. A basketball player with just 1 season of recent football experience, he was the talk of Bronco's camp. Tremendous natural ability. I was high on him coming out, but it looks like JT is going to develop faster than anyone anticipated (including me). They were already splitting him out & designing plays for Thomas in preseason. It's still going to be a process, but he's got the talent to be a stud.

Thomas suffered a high ankle sprain in the 1st game, but he should be on everyone's radar & be rostered in all TE-required or TE-1.5+ dynasty leagues.

Yup. The Panthers had some marginally talented guys who probably could have produced at times (Jeff King, Dante Rosario, Gary Barnidge, etc.), but none of them really ever had the chance to do too much.
