G. Adams or J. Anderson (1 Viewer)

Need help. Which one of these DE's would you take with your 1st round rookie pick?

I think G. Adams as garnered the most attention, but J. Anderson seems like a beast. Adams appears to be a pure pass rusher with weak run support skills while J. Anderson has both skill sets.

I am leaning towards J. Anderson. Somebody talk me out of it.

I have Adams and I really hope he goes to Detriot!!!

I've seen Adams play but I really can't say I've seen Anderson so I'm still leaning towards Adams right now. From what I've read Adams is more ready for the jump to the NFL than Anderson is. Anderson has a ton of potential but is still raw.

This is very difficult before the NFL draft given that both of these guys could go in the top 10, and both could go between 11 and 20, or any combination of the two.

Adams is a little light in the rear end. He's a weak side pass rusher. That's it. I worry that he's going to get pushed around at the point of attack. I think he's limited.

Jamaal Anderson is this year's Mario Williams IMHO. They're physical freaks who have huge upside and the ability and size to get tackles, force fumbles and not just get sacks. I think you go with Anderson (who has the bonus of having a great character apparently) and don't worry about it.

Of course, I could be wrong.

To me it's a tough call. Gaines adams is a great pass rusher, but that's it. He is a bit of a liability against the run. Neither one will probably end up being a tackling machine, so it boils down to sacks. Adams is a bit more polished so will probably give you some return quicker than Anderson. If adams does go to Detroit, I would give him the pick. I really like their D-line and they might just cut him loose to rush the passer more.

Adams seems like a one trick pony. He is a specialized defensive end. Anderson appears to have a more well rounded skill set. The more digging I do the more I prefer Anderson to Adams.
