Gage: is he really that high this week (WR1)!? (1 Viewer)

I've seen him as high as #6 :goodposting: on another board, and as low as #37 (FBG). Another FBG has him up at #16. That's a wide range from a WR1 to a WR4. I've also seen him ranked behind Brandon Jones.

I'm not that up on the Titans so I don't have a good gauge on Gage. :bye:

It would appear he has some serious upside. And downside. I'd like to hear more about him, especially for THIS week.

I was impressed by the #11 ranking. I put him in over Mark Bradley, who is listed as questionable right now. (I may change my mind about that though.)

What bothers me is only 4 receptions two weeks in a row; that's all we've got to go on. 4 is too few to get really excited about, despite the yardage. However, everyone says he's the go to guy on the Titans, and they are throwing the ball more.

I have seen some higher rankings on other sites but where are you guys seeing those high rankings on FBG? The highest I see is 26.

He is finally healthy and the Jets will shut down the run forcing Ten to throw. He and Bo Scaife are Kerry's main targets.
I know the Jets will be thrown on, but don't they have one good corner? Will he be on him?And if he's Collins' main WR target, why does somebody like Bloom (who I like) have Brandon Jones higher?

Jones gets more targets over the middle, and if I were the Jets, I would put Revis on Gage, who is the big play threat, and put Lowery on Jones.

Law is expected to start over Lowery this week. As Bloom said, I'd expect Revis on Gage.. the guy who will likely eat the Jets alive is Scaife. Jones is a sneaky play. Gage probably won't catch the most balls but he could be a factor with a 5" advantage over Revis.

I read elsewhere that Law is starting over Lowery this week.

McCareins is back this week an should get some catches and yardage too. Not sure who's numbers he would take from.
mostly Scaife...eventually - jmoI don't expect much outta McCareins - how could anyone, esp this week being his NFL 1st action in 2 weeks & recovering from a concussion.GageScaifeB Jones..Crumpler/McCareins

Of course those who are pimping Scaife over Gage here are conveniently ignoring the fact that Cassel made quite a bit of hay down the sidelines versus over the middle. Sadly, he also missed quite a few out routes where the TE was wide open.

I like Gage here.

I think he's way too inconsistent to rely on week-to-week.
Week 1 - 2/25 on 6 targets - Young was QBEnter CollinsWeek 2 - 5/59/1 on 7 targetsWeek 3 - dnpWeek 4 - 5/92 on 10 targetsWeek 5 - dnpWeek 6 - byeWeek 7 - dnpWeek 8 - 1/6 on 4 targetsWeek 9 - 0/0 on 5 targetsWeek 10 - 4/47/1 on 9 targetsWeek 11 - 4/147/2 on 6 targetsWas injured for much of the middle of the season and its taken him some time to work back in. Also, they've been able to lean on the run for the most part until recently when teams have challenged Collins to beat them thru the air which he has gladly done. If that trend continues I think Gage continues to score well. This week the Jets are #4 against the run and #28 against the pass. You think the Titans might be passing again this week?
