Gaines Adams to Bears for 2010 2nd rd pick (1 Viewer)

Wow.

Ogunleye's contract is up after this season but he supposedly wants to stay there. Anderson's contract is only through this season too. Alex Brown is signed through 2011, Adams through 2012. So I wonder what they will do with the 4 of them the rest of this season and who will get the majority of playing time. May not be good for fantasy purposes.

I saw that the early rumor is that White will assume the vacant starting end position in TB....however I am curious as to whether or not WW darling Jimmy Wilkerson will see a few more snaps in the rotation now due to this trade. I'll be watching.

I think Wilkerson has already been seeing most of the snaps at LDE all year while Adams has been getting most of the snaps at RDE.White seems like the guy most likely to take over at RDE while Crowder and rookie Kyle Moore will also see more snaps as part of the rotation.

not good for wilkerson owners. He might see the double team with addams gone unless someone can prove them self quickly. I just traded wilkerson and julius jones for ryan grant, ogunleye and Gaither now i think grant might be the only pay off

what do we think this does for stylez white........any homers have an opinion of him as a fulltime player?
White has been very productive in past seasons in a limited role. He's never been a stud when asked to play every down. I'd imagine he'll be getting 70% of the snaps at most in rotation as the Bucs are likely to limit him despite what looks like fairly poor depth at this point. He's got a chance to be a DL3 with significant weekly upside if things work out.
Effect on Ruud? Will the blockers get to him more easily now?
In the Jim Bates defense, the defensive ends aren't expected to do much in run support and ends, generally speaking, have very little to do with keeping a MLB free to make tackles on running plays. No effect on Barrett Ruud here, since Adams wasn't disruptive enough to get his defense off the field quickly (and limit the TB tackle opportunity as a whole) anyway.
