This Sunday's matchup in the Superdome is our game of the week. The Giants will be coming into New Orleans with hopes of keeping their perfect record (5-0) alive, but the Saints (4-0) have those aspirations too. Unfortunatley one of these teams will have to walk off of the field with a loss in the win column.

We all know how well the Saints offense has been performing, but thier defence has been performing just as well; leading the league in takeaways (13) and interceptions (10), 5 of which are Darren Sharper's.

Eli Manning has been performing spectacularly this season, but a bout of plantar faciitis is a slight worry for this team. The Giants bring with a trio of fearmsome defenenders to hopefully slow Drew Brees down: Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, and Antonio Pierce.

Keys to this game:

1. New Orleans Crowd Level: When the Saints the chains moving the crowd level in the Superdome can get intense. Look for this crowd to get it going early and perhaps cause a few fasle starts.

2. New Orleans Defence: We have already mentioned just how good they are, if they perform as well as they have all season (and the offense does too) the Saints have a great shot at winning this one.

3. Eli's Foot: It didn't bother him last week against Oakland, but it is definitely a major concern. If Eli gets takes a bad fall or hit it could spell disaster for the team. Eli is going to have to play this game in it's entirety as opposed to the past two games where he has only played each first half.

NPD Prediction: Saints 28, Giants 24

Home field advantage. Make no mistake, when the Saints are playing well the Dome is a tough, tough place to play. The later the better, but these are some win-hungry fans, the crowd will be in it and a part of the game for sure.

Bell is back.

Lance Moore is back.

Eli's foot (well, who knows how that will go; he won't have the leisure time he had against the Raiders, that's for sure). - Does anyone have a clue how Eli's foot really is? Let's face it that is a very important factor in this game.

Are the Giants that much better than the Eagles, whom the Saints already decimated, in Philly no less (well, with Kolb, but a pretty highly perfoming Kolb)?

This may be an early game with playoff home-field implications.

Would love to know how people think this thing will go.

I'm positive about the Saints' winning it, but hey......

The Saint D has played well, but Eli is in a different stratosphere than Kolb, Trent Edwards, and two rookies.

Home field advantage shouldn't come into play - the NYG road record in recent years is a testament to that. Between the Superbowl run, opening Cowboys Stadium, and beating Philly, Pittsburgh, and Arizona on the road in 08, the Giants "road warrior" moniker isn't just lip service.

The key to this game for both teams will be the RB play. If Jacobs gets back on track, the Giants run game will set the tone and Eli will beat the secondary in playaction. The Saints are heavy blitzers - watch out for an early screen to Ahmad Bradshaw or Hakeem Nicks.

For the Saints, look for quick routes to the RBs and Shockey to neutralize the Giants four man rush and capitalize on weak cover LBs. The Giants cornerbacks shouldn't have a difficult time covering the NO WRs, but a Meachem or Devery bomb is a threat due to their speed advantage.

Giants homer here, and I can't see the Giants losing unless Steve Smith shoots himself tomorrow night. 31-24 G-Men, Eli wins it in the 4th.

Impartial observer (Patriots fan). I love the way both of these teams are playing. The Saints are always going to be good on O with a top tier QB and a creative play caller. It's there D that's really impressing me this season. With that being said, the Giants D has been good not only this season, but the past three seasons. It starts up front with that seemingly endless supply of pass rushers. They may not get a lot of sacks this game, but they do enough to get Brees out of his rhythym.

Giants over Saints (I'm lying if I tell you I can predict the ####### score.)

31-20 Giants.

People are making a bigger deal of Eli's foot than it really is. Planar Fasciitis isn't something that will be made worse playing on it. The treatment is steroid shots, icing the foot, and wearing night splints. You are supposed to limit how much you walk or run on hard surfaces. It doesn't get worse though and feels better as the ligament gets stretched out during use. Shots to relieve pain and reduce inflammation should make him fine to play on it.

I'm predicting a blowout for either team, probably N'Awlins. 34-17. More three-and-outs than expected will be interrupted by highlight plays after the defenses wear down in the second half.

Brees 300 3 TD's

PT 120 rush 1 TD

Bush 50 rec 1 TD

Henderson 80 yards (on 3 receptions) 1 TD

Colston 40 yards 1 TD

Shockey 7 receptions for 85 yards

Meachem 1 reception for 40 yards

Manning 190 yards 1 TD 2 Int's

Jacobs 80 rush 1 TD

Bradshaw 30 total yards

Steve Smith 3 receptions 30 yards to start the Carolina Steve v. NY Steve debate again

Manningham 80 yards, 1 TD

Nicks 60 yards

Matt Stafford, Kevin Kolb, Trent Edwards, Mark Sanchez?

Giants by a FG. The dome wont be any different an environment than the circus Jerry Jones had 'em walk into 3 weeks ago.

The legend of Eli will continue to grow.

Agree 100%, and I expect some points to be scored in this one. In a game that seems very evenly matched I'll go with the better offensive and defensive line.

Saints have better Offensive and Defensive lines than the Giants?

Saints just had a bye and are at home. Saints win.
Giants just came off a bye...they played Oakland. And are the best road team in the last 2 years.
Looks like it will be a heck of a game. Saints will probably be the first team in the history of the NFL to sweep the state of New York. . But come on down Giants fans and have a good time in our city. Have a great time except at the game, and after you can go drown your sorrows on Bourbon street. See you there, I'll be one of the screaming crazed fans that makes your offense jump off sides and have trouble getting a play off. 12th man baby!

absolutely not - see prediction above
 Those predicting a poor game by Eli are going to be disappointed IMO. Best road QB in the league, or close to it.

The interesting part about this game to me is:

A team traditionally known for its offense is now being looked at for its defense and those picking New Orleans to win think the defense will play a large part in that.

A team traditionally known for its defense is actually being looked at for its offense and how its QB plays well on the road.

I think the key to this game lies more with the NYG offense vs. the NO defense than vice versa.
