Maybe this has been going on for a while and I just noticed it, but saw that in the prediction for the Washington Redskins, the Redskins was left out. Just curious if this is an official stance of Footballguys or David Dodds who does the Game Predictor? As a football fan, I see nothing wrong with the team name of Redskins. There is a long history there and I see nothing wrong with it. We are talking football here, not politics or PC or whatever, right?

All the other game predictors list the full team name each week, so I am guessing the listing as just "Washington" this week was an oversight.

I believe that David and Joe have indicated they won't use the name, but that they didn't feel like it needed to be something they were screaming about. But I don't remember now where I got that, so take it with a grain of salt...

We generally don't use the name on the site, but it's not a formal policy. Most weeks I just use Washington only with no last name on the Game Predictor article. Not looking to get into a big debate over it or yell...Look at me!!!!

I understand what you're saying, but by leaving it out, you're definitely making a statement. I understand that you probably can't win. If you go one way, you might offend someone and go the other way and possibly offend someone else. I'm not offended at all. Like I said before, we're talking about football here and Redskins is part of football. Always will be. It's a great football name.
