Need a playmaker WR, a o-lineman, a corner & we should be back.
I agree.. Price is clearly not a #1.. Why not go after someone like Moss?
Art Blank only wants individuals with quality character on his team.Moss will never wear a Falcons uniform as long as that standard applies. And you can't go after "someone like Moss" because there simply isn't anyone else in the NFL like Moss, WR talent wise anyways.
Hi Big Score,Art Blank goes all over Moss if he can get him. No doubt.J
I could be wrong JB, but I don't think so.Oh!And CONGRATS to the Eagles and all their fans.Do the NFC proud in Jacksonville!

Projected weather reports for Sunday:Cold (20s) and Possible Snow.A few years back we all thought that Tampa couldn't win in the cold...Now we will see if a dome team can play outdoors.
I posted this in a separate thread:Vick's total stats in 3 outdoor games below 40 degrees (all in 2002):52/103 (%) for 631 yards (2 TD/3 INT) 64 QB RatingRushing - 22 for 132 (6.0 YPC) 0 TD
Vick's total stats (including today) in 4 outdoor games below 40 degrees (3 in 2002, 1 in 2004):63/127 (49.6%) for 767 yards (2 TD/4 INT) 60.7 QB RatingRushing - 26 for 158 (6.1 YPC) 0 TD

Not to lessen the Philly win...congrats to then, they played great. BUT.....i dont know if this season was about them getting any better but about everyone around them in the NFC getting worse...if they couldn't make it to the top of the NFC this year they never would. the timing was just perfect for Eagles domination....but they'll be hard pressed to beat whoever comes out of the AFC.
What about having a healthy Westbrook...And T.O?And Kearse and Trotter on D?And a more mature LJ Smith? And young DBs that are playing at an all-pro level? This team is SIGNIFICANTLY better that the past 3...And they have more talent and a different ATTITUDE!
TO won't be ready for the super bowl.. remember 27-3? Steelers or Pats will beat the Eagles handily.. NFC was horrible....

lol @ Philly WRs celebrating.  Shouldn't they pat the backs of the guys they rode to the Super Bowl?
Honestly, I think the WRs played very well the last two games.
vs. AtlG. Lewis 2 65 0F. Mitchell 2 20 0T. Pinkston 1 13 0vs. MinnyF. Mitchell 5 65 1 plus 1 Fumble lostG. Lewis 2 64 0T. Pinkston 3 46 0Game vs. Minny was decent but none were spectatular. Game vs Atlanta was hardly noticable.
What were their targets though? I don't remember many dropped balls. Usually this time of year they're choking but I don't recall seeing that.

They went 13-3 this year with those guys.....the previous two before that they were 12-4. Philly played like Philly always does...really well and with or without those guys they still probably would have eked out at least 12 wins. Im just saying this year their competition wasn't there in the conference so the end result was an NFC Championship...but theyll be tested in the SB regardless.

I don't know that I necessarily agree and I think it'll be a great game. We've seen that Roethlishberger can be "got to" and New England, while a fantastic team, doesn't have guys that will simply bury you. I think its a good one. :football:
Good Lord man, 30 minutes ago you were saying the Eagle Offense, sans T.O., was fairly useless.
I just think this Eagle Offense is fairly useless without the "T.O., nerf ball, throw the ball 60 yards and you run under it" offense.
Are you that confident T.O. will be a 100% for the Super Bowl. Or is the Eagles offense not quite as useless as you first thought?

No, but I'm that confident in NFL parity. NE is scary, but only because they are one of the greatest "teams" I've ever seen and they wont be outcoached or outhustled. If you keep from beating yourself, you've still got a fighting chance against either of the AFC teams.

And could have easily went 15-1 but rested their starters. The one loss they got run all over but significantly improved their D after that game. This team is worlds better than mid year and will have a good shot in the Bowl.

Congrats Eagles fans on going to the Superbowl and on finally getting over that hump. I'm glad to see McNabb and co. get their shot. Congrats Falcons fans on making it to the NFC championship game in Vick's second season as a starter. Vick is now 19-8-1 in the regular season, and 2-2 in the playoffs, which is pretty impressive for a 24 year old who has only played two seasons in the league. It'll be interesting to see if, as he matures, you see fewer of those phantom INTs and dancing sacks when he faces a team of Philly's caliber.
Vick's 3rd season as a starter and 4th in the league.
Well, Vick didn't start as a 21 year old rookie, and he was injured last year, but you're right to argue semantics. At 24, he's pretty much on the downside of his career.

Exactly. This team would have been 15-1 had they not rested their starters the last 2 weeks. For as much criticism as Reed took for doing this, The Eagles definitely look fresh.Looks like we will be facing the PATs...Tough match up for my Birds...But we have Faith!

Seriously.......you have to be the biggest dumb### TO LET A KID SING THE NATION ANTHEM DURING THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Works for me, GB that kid and hope he sings at the Linc prior to the Super Bowl (in Jacksonville)

Rested againt two creampuffs...of course they would have won those last two games.....even the old eagles coulda beaten the Rams and Bengals.

Just a reminder. Besides the Jets and Chargers, who were tied at 0, EVERY game this postseason has been decided in the first quarter.

What games this offseason? :P Like I mentioned in the Pats-Steelers thread, 1st quarter offense is a good indicator of wins and losses.

Steelers/Jets was not decided until Brien missed 2 FGs MUCH AFTER the 1st quarter

100 bucks says when Jason Wood stoorms in here drunk as hell, he will start terrorizing Capella. ;)
he needs to wait two weeks for that..-C
:pickle: :D : :pickle: :DJust getting home, and ABSOLUTELY GIDDY. Greatest sports day of my life (shows you what a long suffering fan I am) and words can't match the feeling of euphoria I have, nor the pure elation I and 70,000 other fans at the Linc felt after getting that HUMONGOUS monkey off our backs.I'm not going to argue with anyone that says the Patriots will win, obviously they deserve to be the favorites and will be. But just as any of you who've had a team make the Bowl, as a fan I simply could care less if 1,000 out of 1,000 people on this board predict a Patriots blowout, I'm going to spend the next 2 weeks BELIEVING! :pickle: :D : :pickle: :D :Oh, and I'm not going to torture Capella...his team got it done and won the ring, until my Boys do the same, there's not much smack to talk.

 Timmy sang at a few Eagles' games this year. He admittedly doesn't have the best voice, but he's got a huge heart and I for one would be happy if he sang at every game.
