Game Thread: Baltimore at Indy (1 Viewer)

In another thread I one one of the ones that picked manning to break the record today. I'm regreting it now. Indy will be lucky to score 17 pts against this defense at the rate they're going.

Ummmmm, that run by lewis was absolutley INSANE!!!!
 good to have him back!
OT - are Ravens fans old Browns fans that stuck with the franchise, old Colts fans that were happy to see a pro team return to Baltimore, or Redskins fans that changed teams? Both Skins and Ravens fans?I've always wondered this.
I lived in Maryland and was always a Redskins fan, and chose to root for two teams. Similarly, I'll also be rooting for the Washington Nationals even though I'm a Baltimore Orioles fan already. If the two met in the Super Bowl, I'd probably root for the Skins assuming everything was even. As it is now, I probably like the players on the Ravens a bit better, so I might actually root for the Ravens.

They're starting to look like he seahawk receivers with all these drops and bobbles.
Don't roll your eyes, you said Manning would break the record. You already flaking out on your boy??

that's right Ravens...drive right on down...to the 30 and kick another field goal.repeat. one from 50+ would be nice too.

Hey I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. Won't be the first time, won't be the last. And I'm not rolling my eyes at Manning. I'm rolling them at all the drops and bobbles early. The receivers for Indy are making a tough job tougher for Manning.

I had this game circled because I thought I would get the Manning owner in this round of our playoffs. Well, he was eliminated last week so I can just sit and enjoy the game. But I knew Lewis and the Ravens wouldn't let that little pale skinned kid set no record on them. No way!So far it looks like my plan is working out.

come on...kick the fg...stover can hit a 55 yarder....come on!!
No, it would be a 52 yarder. Not sure why they didn't let him try it. I guess they don't want to give up the field position with 1:30 left.Decent call - punt downed at the 1.

Ogden is killing me - Stover needs some FGs.Edit - Boller is killing me - Stover needs some FGs

Take a good look at it boys...Manning is rattled. I can see his eyes on my65" HD screen. He's worried!
He's not the only one! I came into this game down by 17 with 4 indy players going and it doesn't look like I'm going to make up the ground at this rate. All I need is one td pass to either Wayne or Stokley and I'll win.

I think your basic Ravens fan is the young male with little connection to the old Colts plus most of the older Colts fans. I really doubt that too many Clevelanders are rooting for this franchise and, typically, there is very little crossover between Baltimore and Washington football fans.

Ugh. Are we done with Baltimore on prime time? Seems like they play every other Sunday night or Monday. They just suck the life out of a game.

  This is one of the best games of the year. Would you rather see this or a KC/Oak shootout? I'll take two good teams in a low scoring game over two bad teams in a shootout anyday.

When Baltimore plays we have to watch TWO pathetic offenses. I appreciate the good D, but in moderation. I'd rather have more balance. Coupled with the frequency of Baltimore prime time appearances and all the stupid "miked up" Ravens-I've had enough. So, yeah, I'd rather watch a KC/Oakland shootout instead of the fourth or fifth Baltimore slugfest. I choose a nice 45 yard TD pass over a 3 yard incomplete dumpoff.

I've never seen Ogdone be so dominated.
  Freeney has made one play, which was on a missed assignment. Other than that- nothing at all.
He got to the qb on another play but missed the tackle. ogden's not getting dominated though.
Ogden is letting Freeney go by him and then just pushing him by the QB, so while it looks like Freeney 'just misses' on every play, I think its planned.

There is balance. Jamal Lewis, Peyton Manning, Todd Heap, Marvin Harrison...those are great offensive players. Games like this are very exciting to me because every little score matters, and every extra yard on punts matters, and every inch matters....Its exciting!

Finally, he won't be taking the ball from his own endzone. Lets see what he can do with some breathing room.

This is where field position is critical. It takes great coaching and steady nerves to work through a game like this.

that was classic..2 straight audibles by Peyton and they show Ray Ray's face and he looks like a deer in headlights.
