Game Thread: Baltimore at Indy (1 Viewer)

I'm going against the Manning owner in the playoffs, but... as a football fan, I enjoyed the hell out of that drive.

 
Manning is incredible with his use of the audibles. He had the Ravens D confused on that whole drive.

agreed that was a very good drive....This is one of the better matchups we've seen all year: Great offense-Great defense. I really think that Baltimore's Defense is still pretty damn good. They don't get the credit they deserve since their offense always leaves them in terrible situations and it makes their stats bad.
 
Ugh. Are we done with Baltimore on prime time? Seems like they play every other Sunday night or Monday. They just suck the life out of a game.

try being a saints fan. i turned that off with 5 min left today....then they play the only good 3 minutes of the game. typical.Please dear football higher power. Please allow Peyton & Marvin to score me just 16 more points.....PLEASE!

Wow.Prime time, one away from the record, and Manning calls two straight runs for Edge.I was on the "Manning is selfish" bandwagon. I think I was wrong.

 
Manning :thumbup: He doesn't seem to care about the record. Smart move giving the ball to James right there. We all know the record will come, but my respect for him and his "Team First" just attitude just went up. Some talk the talk, he backed it up.Manning :thumbup:

totally agree on Baltimore D. Like you I am a Washington/Baltimore homer so I see the Baltimore D each week on TV. They are incredible to watch and excute well each and every game.

He has one of the strongest legs in the league and Vanderjagt doesn't get the ball into the end zone very often on kickoffs, so a few weeks back Indy picked him up just for kickoffs.
 
Did Theisman really just say that a field goal does the Ravens no good?Down 20-3 with 14:22 left, a field goal doesn't help, so you should go for it on 4th? Can he not count?

I finally won my game with that last pass from manning to wayne. 13 str8 and clinched the regular season title. Now I have to kick butt in the playoffs.
 
why not kick the FG here? that would leave you down by 14. You need three scores anyway.

Yeah I don't get it either. Maybe the though was that theres little chance of completely shutting out the Colts for the rest of the game, so they need as many points as possible.

Maybe he thinks the Ravens won't shut the Colts out from here on out.The old "7s beat 3s" theory.
 
wait, did they decline that offsides or not?They DID, WTF is that about?It's not like the Colts D is that great. Man, what a mistake.

That's probably what they were thinking. They let indy score tds the last 2 times so they are probably thinking they'll at least score another fg.

me too.They STILL have to get a FG, why not just take the 3?!?!?!####!I just went form 7 points up to one point down.Double ####!
 
Again, I don't get it. How are they in 2 down territory now with that D and over 8 minutes left in the game?They need 2 scores anyway. What's the point of going for it here?Can someone explain this to me? I've been involved in football on some level for nearly 15 years and I just can't grasp this one.

I don't mind them going for it at al...they trust their defense and they think that they can exploit the Colts weak secondary.
