You just don't get it. There is no "be classy option" in that scenario. You can either chose to be without class or not. It's hard to come up with a good analogy. If you aren't an out of shape fatass, that doesn't mean you are a tremendous physical specimen. You simply aren't option A. I'm not a Manning basher, don't confuse me with one. I couldn't care less if or how he gets the record. I just refuse to give him credit for doing the ONE thing that GUARANTEES a win for the Colts. Classy MIGHT be if he takes a knee in week 17 to guarantee a win 1 TD away from the record, but I still wouldn't give him or any player doing what needs to be done to get the W.Tell you what...go ask Ray Lewis. He'll answer it for ya.There is no CLASSY thing you can do in this situation.Options are: do your normal job and win or look like a selfish ####### on national TV. NOT being classless and being classy are't the same things.I know it's what you're supposed to do. But there has been a sub-plot to this game, in case you didn't notice.Classless would have been to throw a pass for the record. Why is it classy to kneel down with 17 seconds left to guarantee a win? It's called "what you're supposed to do".
But I guess you can have whatever opinion you want.
