Game Thread: Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons (1 Viewer)

Week before the Superbowl and in my contract league, my $1 superstars have helped carry me. DelHomme/Muhammad. Playing against Goings in 2 leagues, hope the Goings train stops.....Go Crumpler :bag:

 
Argh....Delhomme fumble. Muhammed needs to give me some serious love tonight. I'm playing against Owens/Wayne/Kennison :football:

 
what a bunch of crap. Vick dove like greg Luganis there.....you'd think the ref across the field might defer that call to the one standing right there that didn't flag it. Terrible call.

 
Woo-Hoo!!! 6 pts for me on Vick's first completion. Already have a point on his first rush also... now 2 as I type Good start!

 
man Vick is 2-5 with 3 yards and a TD in the first quarter. He is on fire so far tonight.[/sarcasm]jwvdcw should be proud :rotflmao:

 
Can't see the game, but can follow it on NFL.com. Does Vick look bad passing or is the Carolina D playijng that well? My opponent has Price going, and it doesn't look as though he has gotten a look yet tonight.Thanks for any (positive?) info... ;)

Both D's are playing well, but Atl is doing very well on the ground so far. Price really hasn't done to well so far, has he?
 
I hope these guys just pound Vick. If your going to get a late hit flag, make it count and pound him into the bench.

I think Price dropped the only pass that was thrown to him in the 1st qtr.
 
Not watching the game on TV, but following it on cbs sportsline. Looks like Carolina is being extremely conservative in the early going.

Carolina's D is getting great pressure and Vick is scrambling.Sometimes Vick simply doesn't have a lot of time and other times it looks like Vick really isn't interested in looking for a second receiver and just wants to run.It's the second quarter and the team with 3 yards passing is beating the team with 5 yards passing.

Carolina hasn't had much time to do anything.
 
Hope the Carolina Center is OK. They do not need him going out the way the Falcons D is playing.

Let him run! I get 5 times the fantasy points from rushing yards than I do for his passing yards. Y'all can make fun of the passing yards, but after 1 quarter, he's on pace for 112 RuYd and 4 PaTD's! That's 35 fantasy points that I'd be more than happy to accept in my playoffs without taking any PaYds into it.
 
I felt the key to my victory this weekend would be if my opponent's Moulds/Muhammed WR combo stayed under 35 points. He's already at 10

I'm waiting for Atlanta to start tripling him since I started Colbert.Of course, I'm not sure the triple-team would discourage Delhomme.
 
Did Theisman just say that somebody is used to "banging around tight ends" ??I think I've heard the word bang more times in the last 2 minutes than I have the last 2 years.

 
What started so well has taken a turn for the worse. Vick keeps getting sacked and Atlanta has decided that leaving Muhammed wide open is their best defense.

 
Dunn only has 69 yards on only 11 carries, so why in the world are the Falcons putting in Wright at RB, who just got called up from the practice squad?Dunn's not hurt, he just got the direct snap.That crazy Mora :loco:
