Game Thread - Divisionals - Washington V Seattle (1 Viewer)

After a half - neither side looks like a playoff team.
 Great defense had something to do with that. There were very very few penalties in this half- well played.
"Great"? Not even a good defense. Zero sacks. Seahags fumbled 4 times and gave two to Was. Muffed a punt return.
You think its a total coincidence that teams turn the ball over very frenquently against the Skins?
Your great defense just allowed Hass to walk into the endzone untouched :coffee:
Your great defense is watching the game from home.
That's as close as you'll come to admitting you're wrong.

I don't usually like those Burger King mascot commercials, but that one where he's Steve Young scrambling for the long TD against the Vikings is great.

Good run while it lasted 'Hawks. In the last 30 second round NFC Divisional round playoff games played in a Northwestern city not starting with a vowel the first team to score two TDs while the other team hasn't scored any yet during years not divisible by 62 is 0-30. So who do the Skins play next weekend? What are their chances?

Yours will be joining them shortly.

turnovers are largely luck(the random way a football will bounce). That a team can win despite having that bad luck means that they are even stronger than their record would indicate.
:goodposting: Yep, in jwvdcw's world, turnovers are largely luck except when Washington is forcing them.

With Brunell's performance the past two games and his inaccuracy today, I think Gibbs has ot see this offense will not explode today under Brunell - he needs to roll the dice with Ramsey.

Its funny. I think the Vikings had the same defense on the field for Vick's OT TD run a few years ago. Some things never change.

 What am I wrong about? I predicted Seattle to win this game. I also predicted the Skins to finish 10-6, make it as a wild card, and beat Tampa.

How? We're not talking about the Bucs - but how "great" the Was Def is. And then the opposing QB walks into the end zone. That, my simple minded friend, is :own3d:

the way a ball bounces after a fumble is forced is luck. Causing the fumble or getting an INT is not luck.

It looks like Washington used up their total allottment of offense for the season oh, I'd say a game or 2 ago.

S. Moss is playing hurt. Jimmie Farris is their only other WR. Taylor Jacobs went out sick. Brunell is half-hobbling around. Ray Brown is out with cramps.

Yeah 14 points against one of the top offenses in the league is just terrible

Would you like to compare what you've said about the Redskins this year and what I've said about them this year and who has been right more often? You have pretty much been wrong on every single one of your predictions regarding them, while I have been right on almost all of mine. You have been :own3d: more times that I can count.

I suppose he could always bring up the fact that Seattle was the #1 scoring offense in the NFL and are being held to 14 points so far.

Heh..way to change your story there. Read your own words again.

An offense that is missing their best player who also just happened to be the MVP of the entire NFL.

Who's simple minded? WTF? And why did we call that timeout? DAMMIT!

Are you really arguing against the Washington defense? What about them in the past few weeks has not been impressive? Shutting out Dallas(except for one meaningless score, holding NYG to 13 offensive points(one of which came on a tipped pass at the end of the first half), going into TB and setting up more points on D than they allowed?

Please keep telling me how terrible they are.

Sure - I'll call you out on that little challenge.

Please go ahead and post Alexander's stats for this game. I'd love to see how much of a difference he was making.

Look at his season and career. He always starts slow.
