Game Thread - Divisionals - Washington V Seattle (1 Viewer)

Yeah, the 2 time defending champs got awfully lucky posting those back to back 17-2 championship seasons.
:bye:
It must really be tough being a JETS fan. I cant even imagine. Good luck with that.
Try remembering what is was like to be a Patriots fan in 1990.
Take one guess on that one. ;)
I'm  but then again there havent been many of your posts over the last few days that have made any sense.
Sorry to cause you trouble. Enjoy watching your team tonight. Gl!

All I have to say is it's a crying shame that piece of s--- for an excuse of a qb the Skins have has wasted two great years by this teams defense. :X

A FG here ends the game, I'd say.Damn I hate saying that. It's been such a huge unexpected pleasure watching the Skins play this year and learn how to win again.

Assuming you're talking about KC and SD, their combined record against the NFC was 3-5 this year.
And what was Washington's record against the AFC this season?
I'll answer. The Redskins were 0-4 against the AFC, with losses to Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, and the scary Oakland Raiders.

The Chargers and Raiders game were home games for the Skins.

Meanwhile, both the Steelers and Bengals manhandled the #2 seed in the NFC by a combined score of 45-16.

Yep, the Redskins would've won the AFC North.
Nothing like manhandling the Bears with Kyle Orton at QB. Get over yourself, really.

You never cause me trouble only amusement and confusion. But then I remember you are a Jets fan and just feel sorry for you.

Any Seattle bettors here? How confident do you feel up 10 with a 9.5 spread? Prevent defense anyone? Should be an interesting last 3 minutes.

Seattle is losing the turnover battle 3-1 and has played most of the game without their best player, yet they are winning 20-10 with less than three minutes to go. That is either very impressive on Seattle's behalf or very sad on Washington's...probably a little bit of both.

Agreed. Good season by the Skins though, we gave it good run. We'll be back.

Why is Mack Strong such an announcer favorite?

Who cares?
He never gets the ball, blocks out his ####, and he's going to the probowl.
He didn't do a good job blocking Omar Stoutmire on the first or second drive of the game but Mack is definitely deserving of some honors.

LOL, you mean the same Orton-lead Bears that rolled through the NFC to get the #2 seed, and the team the Skins beat 9-7 in Orton's first career start?I was just responding to the notion that the Skins would've won the AFC North.

Don't feel sorry for me. I'd much rather root for the Jets than the Patriots. Enjoy your game tonight!

I disagree with the statement "Orton-led".Just because someone's a QB doesn't mean they "lead" teams to victory.

I'd name 18 players on that team that "lead" that team to victory more than Orton.

Oh Orton led the Bears to that record, no wonder Lovie benched him.

Brunell just curled up and waited to get hit. Congratulations Seahawks and their fans. You deserve this win.

Leave him alone. He's alright. Just a big fan that's all. He's been fighting an uphill battle against a lot of opponents tonight. Gotta give him that.

I think he just went to search for all the times I've been owned with my bad predictions of the skins. Should be gone for a while.

Read what was said - YOU brought up Orton, not me.The Bears rolled through the NFC and got the #2 seed, and the Skins barely beat them in Orton's first start.

The Steelers and Bengals manhandled that same Bears team.

The notion, brought up by jwvscdwxv, that the Redskins would've won the AFC North is ridiculous.

You were in here defending your squad last week too. RESPECT. Cut him a break.

Let's take the high road here.Neither of us might be too happy in 4 hours.
:goodposting: The Broncos need all the good karma we can give them.
Broncos win tonight. Book it.
I hope you're right, Lomba...Brady makes me really skiddish, though...even in the thin air.
I'm a Michigan guy so I love Brady but thier reign ends tonight. Denver is a tough place to play. Plus I have a unit at 5-1 that the Broncos are in the Bowl.

I really don't understand all the animosity in these threads.

Indeed. Go Broncos! See ya all later tonight or tomorrow morning (I almost never post in game threads of Broncos games while they are playing). :)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1We are going to the NFC ####### CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!YES!

I probably won't be seen in the Shark Pool for a few days, so let me try to cover everything here:1. Congrats to the Seahawks and their fans. They were the better team today, and they deserve to be where they are at.2. The key play of the game imo was a play that didn't even get much publicity. Washington had just scored and was up 3-0. Hasselbeck threw a terrible pass the C Rogers had a chance to intercept and take in for the score. He dropped it. If the Skins go up 10-0 there, they win the game imo. Two plays later the refs gave Seattle a very generous spot after 3rd down, and they went on to score.3. Four teams advanced farther than the Redskins this year. If fans of those teams want to come in here and gloat, I'll listen to it and take it like a man. To all of the fans of other teams: Your team did no better than the Redskins, so you have no right to brag.4. FWIW, I was absolutely perfect in my predictions of the Redskins this year: I predicted them to go 10-6, make the playoffs as a wild card, beat TB, lose to Seattle. If anyone wants to rub it in, please consider this first.5. I will be back in here sometime, and I will read and respond all of the trash talk that I'm sure will come. Please don't take my disappearance that is soon to come as a sign that I'm avoiding this thread. I'm just really depressed about the Skins right now and have no desire to watch or talk football.6. How do you miss a 36 yard FG?7. The Skins D is great. They force TOs as well as any unit in the league, they are young, they hit hard, they will only get better. 8. The Skins need a #2 WR and a QB of the future. Other than that, they have all of the pieces for a championship squad.9. I am a bit jaded due to the fact that Washington played such a hard schedule and got such bad breaks by the refs in the regular season. If they had bee a top 2 seed, I feel like things would be differently, but I guess those are the breaks.10. Again, congrats to Seattle and their fans.
