Game Thread - Pittsburgh @ Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Bring it....My finace' and everyone in her family are in front of my big-screen talking about wedding dresses....normally, this would not be a problem except the included nieces are watching a Lizzie McGuire DVD!!!! CURSES! I've been displaced on Week 17 Sunday by Hillary Duff and her bad-acting friends! So, I'll be watching the Sportsline gamecast in the bedroom and waiting for updates from the Shark Pool.At least my old friend Beer is here to keep me company.HERD

Hillary Duff...

Hey HERD,Jamal is running HARD, 39 yards in the first series....until A.Wright was picked off at the Pittsburgh 10. Baltimore could be one and done with that clown at QB.Congrats on the engagement  , hopefully the future wife is aware of your FF addiction.

When the playoffs roll around, Wright will not be allowed to pass.... ;)

Hey! Which thread do I put my "analysis" in?First drive: 5 attempts, 39 yards. Very good. I'm rooting for Jamal simply so I can witness history.8:01 left in the first quarter. Who cares what the score is?

Actually I was wondering where Wright will play next year if the Ravens run the table? ;) Lewis is at 2000.Looks like he'll have the record in the first half if the Steelers don't show up soon.

Victory! I've stollen the cable box and hooked it up to my trusty 13" from college. Now, its getting calibrated. If I miss the record run, there will be HEEL TO PAY in my living room...HERD

Good lord. I'm really glad I worried all week about winning my championship today. Backfield of LT and Jamal. :D I hope he breaks the record eventhough my game is already over.

All those who hate HERD, rejoice. I'm being drug out to eat, and away from watching Jamal Lewis run wild. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY NOW!!!HERD

Needed Hines and Jamal to stay under 24 to win overall points and $400.Needed Hines and Jamal to stay under 34 to win the Superbowl points and ANOTHER $400.$800 out the window after those first two drives, Jamal will beat me by himself. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Well that was a let down type of series...
Its a conspiracy to get concession sales up, everyone at the stadium is running for beers whan the Ravens don't have the ball. If he breaks it too early, people will lose interest ;)

At least you've got the best Avatar on the site.

My whole season rests on the shoulders of James Farrior!! :bag: I need 12pts,, 2pt/tackle, 1pt/tackleassist, 5pt/sack, 10pts/int.... He's no where near the the ball... However,, I did see Jamal shead him a couple times,, unfortunately we don't get points for missed tackles..I'm gonna lose.. :wall:

For the record, this is where we stand as Baltimore's fourth drive starts.Eric Dickerson (1984): 2,105 yardsBarry Sanders(1997): 2,053 yardsJamal Lewis (2003): 2,025 yards (1,952 + 73 tonight so far)Terrell Davis (1998): 2,008 yardsO. J. Simpson (1973): 2,003 yards

sure are trying to make this stinker of a game seem important. Personally,, I think the coach is taking a huge risk by playing Jamal... What an idiot. If Jamal gets an ACL here,, that coach will be the laughing stock of the NFL..

Fans worry too much about injuries in these types of games. These guys are football players, not Pringles potato chips. They can take it. They want to take it.

I'm certainly no Billick fan, but he's in a tough spot here.Clearly, the record is a huge deal. Jamal's hot start makes it even tougher on him. This likely could be the only chance Lewis gets this close again.J

I really doubt BB will ever be the laughing stock of the NFL. Any coach would give their player a chance for a record like this.

Lewis already has had both of his ACL surgically repaired. The risk of that is now low for him...if the medical knowledge on these boards is accurate.More importantly you can't rest the entire offensive line and given them something to play for LESSENS the chance any of them will get hurt.

Ok Pittsburgh offense, get the hell off the field. And Baltimore, give Jamal the ball!! Has he even touched it in the last 2-3 drives?Run Forrest, run!!
