Game Thread PL1 - Dallas V Seattle (1 Viewer)

Rain expected throughout the game. This has to be seen as an advantage for Seattle. Not only are they home, but Hasselbeck plays in the rain all the time, and I can't remember Romo ever throwing the ball in poor conditions.

On the other hand, Seattle's secondary is DECIMATED by injuries.... some guy from out of the stands is gonna play nickle back this week. Should be points-a-plenty in this one!

I agree with RN, lots of points in this one.

It's seems like 2 topsy-turvy teams

going to battle here. Can Romo stand

the heat ? He's been stumbling lately,

I expect a big dose of Marion Barber

to take the pressure off Romo, but when

Dallas goes down early, the game will then

ride on Romo's arm.

It's two steps forward and one step

back for Kid Romo, tomorrow is the step back.

Dallas 23

Seattle 37

Is it? Weather.com saying 40% chance in one place, 100% in another.

There aren't many of us here and we can always use one more. :welcome:
 Be advised, the lead admin on this board is also a Seattle homer, but he hates blind homerism and ignorant fans. Don't piss him off by being a whiner or excuse maker.

WR D.J. Hackett is on the field running routes. We have not seen WR Darrell Jackson. RG Chris Gray is also out on the field moving around. We do not have a list of inactive players yet, but I just wanted to pass along that information.

Hawks: Jackson will start at WR

The Seahawks' list of inactive players includes a lineup change at the bottom: Darrell Jackson will start for D.J. Hackett. Other things to glean from the inactive list: Chris Gray is active and expected to start at right guard. Rob Sims starts at left guard, as expected. Jackson has apparently had the pain shot he'll need to start and play despite a turf-toe injury. That is a brutal shot to receive and guys hate it, but if he is active and starting, the assumption is that he had the shot.

WTF?! Costas just said the game is to start in "an hours or so..." I thought it was set to KO @ 8. After that abysmal game, this better start sooner than that.

The Dallas Cowboys have declared SS Abram Elam, OL Cory Procter, OT Jason Fabini, OT Joe Berger, DL Junior Glymph, DL Montavious Stanley, CB Quincy Butler, DL Stephen Bowen inactive for Week 18.

The Seattle Seahawks have declared WR Ben Obomanu, QB David Greene, FB David Kirtman, CB Marcus Trufant, DL Marcus Green, LB Marquis Cooper, OT Ray Willis, C Robbie Tobeck inactive for Week 18.

I think Branch will show he was worth a 1st rounder. That guy loves the big games.
Honestly I'm pretty easy on players and criticizing but Branch really has done nothing thus far. They got him for the big games and the playoffs and he needs to step up today. No drops, find space and sit down, and then juke and jitterbug for ten more yards. He doesn't need to score, but he needs to make catches on 3rd and five and make that extra ten yards to put them in a position to kick a FG instead of punting.

Both teams have weak secondaries and Seattle can't get to the QB. They will bring a lot at Romo and the banged up secondary will have to respond. The key matchup is the Seahawks secondary vs the Cowboys receivers and the ability of the Seattle LBs to make the play within five yards.

Why is Football Night in America so ####?

Bob Costas is unwatchable - and putting "San Diego" under LT's box, but "30 Rock" under Costas' is about the weakest thing I have ever seen.

Sucks to be Mili, waived for a practice squader that doesn't even suit up.So was Williams also put on IR?

Yeah ok.
Hass has struggled. The thing I argue with is Dallas receivers better than Seahawks' receivers. I'd rate that "even" if DJax plays. The Boys are better at #1, the hawks are better at #2, they are even at #3, and the 'hawks are better at 4/5/6

I will also apologize...as the poster over the next 4 hours is a different guy.
See, we're the classiest fans in the league. Easily.
Not sure how much I'll be here....I usually do a written play by play in a Cowboys forum.I'll stop in a bit.Choas.....I have a good feeling about tonight.
Well, have fun. I'm worried to be honest, but I'm going to be positive. I get butterflies before playoff games, sweaty palms, locked myself in a dark room. I'll be here.

Which league? Intraprison league?
I believe you are thinking of the Bengals.
True. Three of my best friends are Cowboys fans so I don't hate them like I used to. I do hate them tonight though and you and all the Cowboys fans as well. Even Bentley. ;)
