Game Thread PL1 - Dallas V Seattle (1 Viewer)

I actually feel sorry for Romo. He just took the blame for losing the game via the botched hold.
It always amazes me how one guy can get blamed for a loss? What about the coverage on Stevens? What about the Glenn fumble which turned the game? Romo is not a probowl Qb to me but what I saw at the press conference impressed me. That is taking accountability for failure even if it's not really your fault. That lends to leadership, really the true definition of what a leader is all about. Romo to me is a very respectable football player and a leader in every way. Cowboys are in good hands.

#### Romo, this guy's head got bigger than Charlie Brown's. :TOspittingonanotherplayer:

Seahawks thread calls you. :lmao:

Just saw the Witten catch again - forward progress, ball was over the one yard line, but he was dragged back so that the ball was behind the one yard marker. Two bad calls that decided the game.
I can't believe FBG pays you a dime. You're terrible.
oh no he di'int!
Detroit, I have a man crush on you, I'm sorry I missed the cornhole in September.
Someday I'll make it to Seattle where I've never been. 60 ####### countries and I've never seen my team play a homegame. Unacceptable. We'll drink and discuss good times when I'm there even if I have to go to Oregon. :lmao:

Some of these questions and reporters are just plain brutal. Romo's beside himself with grief and guys are asking him if he's the right guy for the job, has he ever felt worse. Really obvious, redundant and unnecessarily harsh. I give a lot of respect to TO and Romo and others for having to deal with these blood suckers. ####### brutal
:lmao:
Actually, I don't agree that it's a 'good posting'. Romo has to take the bad with the good. He was the shining saviour doing any and all interviews when things were going great - and now he's got to be there when they're going bad. It comes with the territory. He'll bounce back - he went to college in Illinois.

As well he should. You can't mess up on that play and expect not to have your feet held to the fire.

Hardly. He never got even close to being at let alone crossing the one.Aside from being close, this was another ugly game. SEA should get creamed in their next game unless it's against somebody like the Gints.PS way to almost screw up that last play SEA......all they needed was a high booming punt which would've ended the time. Or I thought about this, why not have Hass. throw a ball and long and high as he can? By the time the balls lands incomplete, game's over.
Because if the clock only runs 7 seconds, leaving one, they are in FG range.

If Dallas called a fair catch on a high booming kick, Dallas would have been entitled to a fair catch kick. That is allowed even if time has expired.

Correct. I alluded to this earlier.

I officially hate the Cowboys. The refs ####### suck tonight
 When did they Suck
that spot sucked and some of the other calls but nothing terrible
quit crying, the spot was correct--it was obvious it was not a 1st down
I just looked at the Glenn "catch" again - that was no catch. You can't maintain possession of a ball on the ground withyour hands on top of it. His "football move" was to almost fall down and balance himself with his hands on top of the ball.No catch. The refs sucked in this game.
Bull####. that was a catch and guys who get paid to decide such things thought so also. Only a homer or an idiot thought that wasn't a catch.
As a huge Cowboys homer, let me say that you can cross "homer" off the list. Glenn's play was a catch and Witten didn't get the first down.

Now I'm patiently waiting on Parcells to quit or lose his job next week. I think the Cowboys could use a fresh face at Valley Ranch, and I honestly wouldn't mind it being Dom Capers.

I've never felt so sick to my stomach in my life.
 My liver's taking some punshiment tonight.
I don't even feel like drinking. I just want to wake up and figure out it was a bad dream. I would have rather seen Dallas lose by 20 and the game be out of hand in the 3rd quarter. What happened tonight is just crushing.
I would rather have seen Dallas kick the field goal, and then Seattle drive and win in the last minute. Anything but that.

I disagree. I think Paw Paw should make one more go of it. And maybe acquire a pass rush.

Yeah, I'm not sure how anyone could argue otherwise. Jennings popped the ball out of Glenn's grasp, and Witten's progress was stopped at the 1-1/4 yard line. That's about all there is too it. Dallas lost the game on their own... again.

Well..with the homers gone, that does leave the idiots.

I think Carpenter is going to turn into a hell of a player. He showed some real flash tonight. I don't know if they'll find a pass rusher at #22 but I suppose it's possible. It's a deep draft for O-Line so I wouldn't mind seeing them go for some linemen in the latter part of the first day. Romo looked unsettled all night, and I think the majority of that was caused by poor pass-blocking by a subpar line. The O-Line has been allowing 3- and 4-man pass rushes to really pressure Romo and to me that's unacceptable.

The line's pretty awful. I'm still not sold on the move to the 3-4. I'd like to see Ware line up at end and go hell bent for leather every plan instead of trying to run downfield and pick up people in zone coverage.ETA - Carpenter did show a lot of promise tonight.

I love Parcells, I hope he comes back also.
You wouldn't love him so much if you had to watch his teams sh-t the bed every December and lose seemingly insurmountable 2-game division leads.

Bentley always makes sense to me.

It's a threesome  , and I bet Shick will go, but he'll still be gloom and doom.
It's in my nature. I'm a realist. We have no chance if we have to face the Saints. Dallas receivers only saw 13 targets today. I'll bet that would be near 30 against N.O.

If NO throws 30+ times it's because they are playing from behind. :football: On a serious note, enjoy this week Shick, because it could be our last.

You in for a game in 2008? I'll seriously plan the trip if I get to attend my first Seahawks home game with the Shick! O/U on that thread is 11 pages. :football: Go Hawks. We beat the Saints, guaranteed.

Actually, it's tough for me to actually get to games. Lots of work to be done on Sundays dealing with the boards and writing game recaps. When I go to a game I feel like I miss so much during the day. But for you guys, I make the exception. Count me in.

You can take your laptop to the game. Is Smoo in?

I feel really weird hammering this out in front of everybody. But I am in 2008. The cornhole of the year will include, myself, Shick, Detroit..and awaiting Seabass. With that long in advance how do we chose the game? And realize in 2008 we might suck. :lmao:

I'm definitely in. God if we get Smoo this would be the all-time cornhole of all cornholes. Probably won't be the best team so I'm thinking an October game against a crappy opponent. That way I can take in the Red River shootout out and a Seahawks home game in the same year. :lmao:
