Game Thread W1 - Buffalo V New England (1 Viewer)

As a McGahee owner, this was a little bit of a surprise...

1-15-BUF 48 (15:00) J.Losman pass short left to A.Thomas to NE 38 for 14 yards (E.Hobbs, M.Vrabel).

2-1-NE 38 (14:28) W.McGahee right tackle to NE 31 for 7 yards (J.Seau, R.Harrison).

1-10-NE 31 (13:47) (Shotgun) J.Losman pass short right to A.Thomas to NE 29 for 2 yards (M.Vrabel).

2-8-NE 29 (13:08) A.Thomas left end to NE 22 for 7 yards (R.Harrison).

3-1-NE 22 (12:18) A.Thomas left guard to NE 18 for 4 yards (M.Vrabel, E.Wilson).

1-10-NE 18 (11:45) A.Thomas left guard for 18 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

IS MCGAHEE HURT?!?!?!?!

Both the young backs in this game (Maroney/McGahee) are looking incredible!
Does McGahee look pretty good? I have both Maroney and McGahee and benched them both for Chester and Jamal Lewis.
Maybe the Pats run D just looks bad.But McGahee himself? he looks fast, and decisive. Made a sweet gain on a screen pass, where he just outran everyone to the other side of the field.
Thank you. (NEED THE TICKET......  )

So, is anyone hear actually watching this game?
Yeah.I like what I have seen from Losman so far. Averaging over 7 YPA and no major mistakes. He has looked mobile and recovered well on the first play when the ball was snapped over his head.

What a great first half for the Bills. The seven points on the opening play was a gift. Then the run defense gave up some big plays but have tightened things up well.

Brady ended the half with six straight incomplete passes and was almost picked by Triplett at the end.

But we saw this last year and the Patriots roared back. It will be interesting to see if Losman shows maturity when the game is on the line. Evans and Royal need to get in the game more. The Bills also fumbled five times in that half and were lucky enough to recover every one. That can't continue if they are to win.

Yeah. So far, Deion Branch looks like a very smart guy.Brady hasn't looked comfortable, most of their screens have been ugly, the Bills have gotten pressure, and he can't seem to find anyone.Neither team can stop the run.All the backs look solid, heck, even A-Train.

Bills went for it on 4th and less than a yard, McGahee just short after a bad spot. The Bills might challenge.

What do you guys think about Losman?
He is making good decisions, releasing the ball without hesitation when receivers are open, and scrambling well when he has to. He has shown the usual improvement you might expect from a quarterback in their second year as the starter. I think he will be the future. No risky throws so far.

I am sure Adam V is laughing wherever he is! LOL

S.Gostkowski extra point is No Good, Center-L.Paxton, Holder-J.Miller.

The Patriots have all the momentum after stopping the Bills on 4th and 1 and then driving for that last TD.

It looks like the Bills are REALLY struggling against the run. They just haven't been the same against the run since Pat Williams left. Their DTs just don't seem to be making many tackles.

Have we learned anything about the NE running situation? Interesting stats but I don't get the game here in the Midwest.

Both NE backs look effective. Maroney looks explosive and Dillon is showing good effort after first contact. There haven't been any goal line plays but I would guess Dillon would get them.

Buffalo was stupid not to kick that FG in the 3rd quarter. That would have made the score 20-7. Their defense was playing well enough to where they should have taken the 3 points.

:goodposting: As I said in another thread devoted to this, if I had to draw any conclusion from this it would be that in any given game you'd have to assume that both Dillon and Maroney will get 10-20 carries. Maroney as the more explosive one probably will get more yardage, but Dillon figures to get more TD's as the (likely) goalline RB.
