Game Thread W1 - Dallas at New York Jets (1 Viewer)

Take heart Cowboys fans....this was not a game anyone expected you to win, and your team played pretty well (except in the last 5 minutes or so) It was a good effort and nothing to be ashamed of.

plenty to be ashamed of. they pissed away another game they should have won.

Collinsworth asked a pretty good question. Why is Dez still in there? They guy is running at 1/2 speed. Are the Cowboys backups THAT bad?
Because Revis was still covering him.So your choices are have Dez in there with Revis on him, and Austin gets Cromartie. Or you pull Dez, then Revis makes Austin just as useless as gimpy Dez is, and you get whoever you have left over vs Cromartie as your go to guy.The only screw-up was actually throwing to him.

Its like a peverse repeat of recycled old games where we find ways to lose.-Blocked punt (Arizona game)-Romo int late (Pittsburgh game)-Romo fumble (Seattle game)

Time Kibitz,

It's the mindset he has, it's too flakey and that's also how he protects the football.

You don't fumble at the 1 yard line with a 7 point lead, you don't throw to a gimped up WR with the best CB in the league on him, and with 8 seconds left in the game down by 3, you don't laugh after a botched snap to take the clock down to 3 seconds. I'm very surprised you don't get that.

dallas still can't run and has an overrated qbyea....but on paper they are as good as anyone :bye:
I don't think he's overrated. But if you really want to know why they lost this game, I think you hit the nail on the head. I made the point late in the 3rd quarter. Sure they moved the ball anyhow, but they were unable to take any time off the clock, and when they needed that yard or two they just couldn't get it- that's why their play calling was somewhat questionable in the red zone. Felix can't run between the tackles. Choice looks slow. Why not give Murray a chance? Unless you can get steady yards on the ground consistently, no lead is safe in the NFL.
