Good luck all as the first Sunday of the season is upon us.For those new to us, here is how the Shark Pool runs on game day.Prior to game time threads about fantasy relevant news are posted and generally pinned. If something is missing let us know. Once game time starts, these threads are unpinned and game threads, injury news etc are pinned.Where possible keep the game comments in that thread. The Shark Pool gets awfully cluttered on Sundays and to keep as much information on the front page as possible, some threads may be merged with others. There should be a venting thread, so try to avoid starting a new thread about the misfortunes of your team. If a thread is started and it doesn't add value to the Shark Pool it may get locked or deletedThis thread is to post anything pertaining to the game listed. Of particular interest are things like how a QB is reacting, how much pressure the D is applying, how well the running game is working or anything, who's getting targetted & anything relevant that fantasy owners may want to see out of this game. Remember not everyone is watching the game, so if someone makes a great catch describe in as much detail as possible.

I am calling it now.........

38-17 Chiefs

[now waits to get slammed]
Not slamming, but if the Chiefs put 38 on the Jets, I would be very surprised. That's a lot of points to score on the Jets D, and as stingy as they are against the run right now, I would say that if you truly believe they will score 38, Trent Green is a solid start today. :D

I've called it all week- Jets hold KC < 14 :boxing:
I don't know about 38, but I think the Chiefs scoring less than 14 is an even longer shot. They weren't held under 14 even once last year, and the Jets aren't even the best D they'll face this year. If anyone is gonna do it, it won't be them, and it won't be at Arrowhead. At Buffalo will probably be the toughest test for the offense.

I won't slam the prediction, but I don't see KC scoring 38 or holding the Jets to 17.28-24 CHIEFS

any new news regarding Green's status?

Nugent wins the game with a last minute field goal.

24-21 Jets
Green is fine. The O-Line is the part having trouble right now, hopefully they can hold up the entire game.

GO PRIEST!!! I've backed him to the hilt, and drafted him in almost every league I play in (1st round pick allowing). Please make me happy!Enjoy Kickoff all!

Well, the season is only 3 plays old . . . anyone still wondering why I suggested taking a Holmes/LJ pairing for the past 6 months?

But how many people started them both? Feast or famine.

LJ should be a viable RB2 for teams that went WR in their middle picks in a redraft. I don't think we will see a lot of famine even if you start both Holmes/LJ.

holy #### what a run by Holmes!Edited to add: Looking at the replay, I'm not so sure he wasn't down at the 1, though.

Trent Green is looking great so far, too. Geez, this offense is only 30 minutes into the season and already looks scary.

Would you guys consider starting LJ in a flex spot over the likes of Hines Ward/Donal Driver like WRs? I own Priest and LJ but i'm not sure I can bring myself to start both each week.

Replays showed that Holmes was down at the one, but the Jets didn't ask for a review, so the touchdown holds up. The question is how does a ref standing right there not see Holmes' entire lower body practically on the ground? Perhaps he was amazed by the great run by Holmes! :P
