**Game Thread W1 - NY Jets@Kansas City** (1 Viewer)

I have told people for years that Coles is not that good, so yes, I laughed when he dropped what should have been as easy TD.

Jets go for it on 4th and 10, turn the ball over. Coles dropped a sure TD pass on the drive. Chiefs at midfield. Larry Johnson is ripping the Jets D up.

Hmmm, Larry Johnson is running the ball exclusively on this drive and it is the best the Chiefs O has looked since the first quarter.

Larry Johnson appears to be the clear-cur better RB in Kansas City right now and it is only a matter of time before he is getting the majority of the carries. Priest Holmes has been great the last few years, but he might be on borrowed time now. And I have NO rooting interest in this, as I stopped playing fantasty football two years ago.

Would you guys consider starting LJ in a flex spot over the likes of Hines Ward/Donal Driver like WRs? I own Priest and LJ but i'm not sure I can bring myself to start both each week.
I did this week.
If you think LJ will break a 35 yard TD run every game, go for it.
Still in denial.
LJ 110 Ru Yd, 2 TD

11 Rec Yd

Priest

74 Ru Yd, 1 TD

5 Rec Yd

Yeah, I'll continue to start them both. Like I said, in a state of denial. Time to wake up.

As a chiefs homer I have to agree that LJ is certainly bringing it on another level. But the final say in PH playing time is Vermiel and he is loyal to a fault. PH will still get his touches.

Johnson's 2nd TD, 27-0. So much for Vermeil's "take off the diaper" comment last year. I'm sure the talk radio will be buzzing about Holmes/Johnson tonight. Cunningham has the D working, but they have a tough 4 games stretch traveling to OAK, a MNF game in Denver and Philly at KC.

:bs: LJ owner right (no Priest)? This is wishful thinking. Why start one guy and give him the majority of the carries when you can alternate both and keep hammering the opposition into submission? This is going to be one helluva offense if both these guys stay healthy.

I own both, only started Priest today, and I will say without a doubt that LJ has looked the more explosive of the two. I think there will be several games with 4+ rushing TD's between these two.

This is why the only league I drafted Priest in was a survivor league where the top performers are taken....no lineup decisions once the draft is done. Got LJ in the 7th! to back him up....I didn't want the headache of deciding between them every week otherwise.

I'm not too concerned with the O, it's the D that has killed the Chiefs the past few seasons. BTW, the Chiefs are playing with a few fill-in's on the O-line today.

It helps to read an entire post before responding to it. I bolded the sentence of my previous post that you obviously missed.

Wow, Chad's pass slipped out of his hand for the TD throw...he BETTER answer a lot of questions this week w/o the attitude.

Imagine the numbers BOTH Holmes and LJ put up if the Chiefs D holds this season and they avoid the shootouts.

Missed that, sorry. But, I still think your analysis of the situation is way off base.

Not reading all 5 pages of replies, but I'm here to take my lumps. I really thought the Jets' D would do better against the run. Props to the Chiefs- they beat the Jets and Chad Fumblington fair and square and decisively.
