Game Thread W11 - Carolina V Detroit (1 Viewer)

Consecutive bombs thrown by Stafford on 1st & 2nd down... Calvin drops his, overthrow on the 2nd to Scheffler. So much for trying to run on Carolina... Timeout before 3rd down attempt

 
Can Stafford stop sucking now? Please?

Have his passes at least looked like they're being thrown decently, or is the finger affecting him?

Not trying to pile on because of this bad stretch he is having, but I was questioning early on how good Stafford really was playing. Since defenses have somewhat figured out how to not let Megatron destroy them left and right, Stafford has looked pretty average. Many of his great games came off as a result of Megatron being a beast. Yes, Stafford was throwing the ball, but Megatron can put up great numbers without just about any QB, as he has shown in the past. Obviously, Stafford is better than the tripe the Lions had years ago, but maybe, just maybe, he isn't a top QB yet.

Maybe, but his injury is clearly a problem now.

Stafford looking awful, that glove cannot be helping.

What is going on is that Stafford is crashing to back to Earth where he belongs. People were extrapolating All-Pro status onto him after seeing him play a few good games last year and a few good ones this year. Injured finger or not, he is well enough to play. Detroit fans need to face the facts that Stafford will not be an elite qb along the likes of Rodgers, Brady, Rothlisberger, or Brees. He fits nicely into the Carson Palmer/Joe Flacco/Matt Ryan/Jay Cutler tier of mediocrity.I am sure at some point he will have a really nice season, just not this year. I view him as a modern day Lynn Dickey.

Not impressed by the effort of the lions wr on that 3rd down play. They just kind of ran a short route and stopped. Did not really help out a scrambling Stafford by trying to get open.
