Game Thread W11 - New England V Buffalo (2 Viewers)

Thank God for BB's inferiority complex. He wasn't going to let TO take all the WR spotlight for the week so he had to get his boy Randy Moss a few TD's. That just got me a win. BB... I owe you one.

Al Michaels just said the Patriots are turing the rest of the league into the Washington Generals
And he and Madden used the word "perfect" when talking about Tom Brady at least 4 times in the first quarter. I'm afraid that if they keep it up they may never get the taste of Brady's penis out of their mouths.

why is it when brady is passing nobody gets within 5 yards of him, but when they try to run the ball maroney has to avoid 3 guys in the backfield???
Because they view Tom Brady more valuable to block for?
why view anything? just do your job and block...(disgruntled maroney owner going against brady owner btw so i'm just blowing off steam)
I am going against both....go pats anyway!!!!

 We are witnessing the greatest team in not only NFL history, but all of American sports history. This really is something to behold.
Globetrotters down?
Good comparison, but even the Globetrotters weren't undefeated.
In addition to their hundreds of exhibition games, the Globetrotters have faced some competitive action since the mid-1990s. On September 12, 1995, they lost 91–85 to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's All Star Team in Vienna, Austria ending an alleged run of 8,829 straight victories in going back to 1971

they may in fact be the best team i've ever seen, at least to this point in the season. however, i have to think that their tendency to rely on the pass will come back to bite them in the winter weather at foxboro. home-field DISadvantage??

BTW, Brady is currently running a QB Rating of 182.7

Strangely enough, this only seems to raise his season QB rating by 0.1 to 131.9

They don't seem to have much depth there. Rumor has it though that BB is building a weather dominating device on his secret invisible island in Boston Harbor that will push the bad weather back until the SuperBowl.

Pshaw...it is pretty obvious God is a Patriots fan. Look for an abnormally mild winter.

Pretty impressed that Al Michaels was aware that the Celtics lost tonight seeing as they lost by 2 and the game finished after this game had started.

Serious question: if this team had an average QB, NOT Tom Brady, how good would they be? Suppose they had Philip Rivers or Jay Cutler? Would they still be a winning team?

I just assumed all of the New England faithful would form a massive human dome over Foxboro before every game when the weather started getting cold.

You're actually being serious about this Globetrotters-Patriots comparison?
After losing to the Washington Generals in 1962, the Harlem Globetrotters only lost two more games in the next 38 years (12,596 games). Usually they played a "stooge" team owned by Red Klotz
 :lmao:

The O-Line is disgustingly good. The protection they offer Brady is phenomenal. Not to discount what Brady has done this year, but a average QB would look very good behind that line. Brady being an awesome QB he looks godlike behind that line.

Isnt the highest it can go in the 150s?
You may be right, but I have tried 2 different QB rating calcs, and both give the same result....
158.3 is the highest possible QB rating. If those calcs are giving higher then they are broken.
Nevertheless...as Maddan has said...a 'perfect' game thus far stats-wise

Nope - they are right. Thats how good brady really is.

We'll actually be performing mass human sacrifice to the Winter Gods to ward off the cold weather.

There is another calc used by the NCAA which goes much much higher.

Thought I remembered the Generals beating them at some point as well.Oh well.I had a friend that was a very good player, he played for the Generals a few games but they quickly let him go... he was too intense and played too hard - not what the Globetrotters were looking for.

There aren't many QBs who would be able to take advantage of this line the way Brady does. Pick a drive and just watch him around in the pocket for a little bit, it's really pretty impressive to see how he always seems to be moving away from the pass rush while still looking upfield.
