Game Thread W11 - New England V Buffalo (2 Viewers)

I mean, seriously. Remember those REALLY good teams from high school, that would play Hayseed Union and blow them out 72-0. This is what the Pats are making other teams in the NFL look like. It's historic.

That was extremely unsportsmanlike.
 C'mon Andy, if this were ADP scoring another TD you'd be jumping backflips.
No. I really wouldn't. Belichick: Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it? Brady: NO, SENSEI! Belichick: Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it? Brady: NO, SENSEI! Belichick: Defeat does not exist in this dojo, does it? Brady: NO, SENSEI!
Amen to that.Mercy is for the weak. Here, in the streets, in competition. A man confronts you he is the enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy

As much as I get annoyed at the Pats whole "go for it on fourth down when ahead by four scores" routine*, I have to say that it would be awesome if they started mixing in onside kicks and going for two. I promise you, Pats fans, I will jump on the bandwagon if they go that far.

Or do we have to wait for the Jets in week 15 to see that?

*This is because I'm an upstanding citizen of high morals, and has absolutely nothing to do with me being a Gostkowski owner.

BTW, I just got beat, as my opponent has Brady/Moss....
Mine does too but I'm up 90, so I'm safe... right?
:unsure:Now only up 36. Brady+Moss+Gost = 59 so far.
 :hot: :censored:Now only up 12. Brady+Moss+Gost = 83 so far.Unbelievable, I'm never going to hear the end of this from the Pats fan about to beat me in this league.
I would have to say I'd be livid if that was happening to me.I'm in my own dogfight. I was tied with my opponent, both of us with only 1 player left. He has Dante Stallworth and I have Ben Watson. I've got him by 2 points now but a 15 yard pass to Stallworth and we're tied. Shut that offense down, practice your running game!
"Thats Fantasy Football" :shrug:Seen some crazy stuff over the years. But I did really need that win though. :lmao:Heading to bed so I don't have to see #5 to beat me.
Hope you went to bed buddy! That Watson TD probably gave me my win for the week.I'm still amazed at them going for it on 4th down up by that amount of points. Call me old fashioned, maybe I was raised funny but I don't really see the point in going for it on 4th down there. If this were just a bloodbath of a rivalry, I could understand it. Coach Woody Hayes of Ohio St. once was up on Michigan 48 to 14 and with hardly any time on the clock, he went for the 2 point conversion. When asked after the game why he went for 2 points at that stage of the game, his answer was because they wouldn't let me go for 3.That kind of attitude I can understand in a Michigan/Ohio St. type rivalry. This is happening every week and I can't say it's wrong I guess and I understand the philosphy that it's not the offenses job to stop the offense but I don't believe in that type of legalist way of thinking. This game is over, we all know it's over. I've enjoyed watching them play tonight but I could have done without the 4th down passing TD, even if it did secure my FF win *smiles*

That was extremely unsportsmanlike. :lmao:
How so? There is a whole half of football left and the Pats ran Evans and Eckel (their 3rd and 4th RB) quite a bit on that drive. You want the Pats to kneel on it every play or are they just not allowed to pass anymore?
That would rule if the Pats started taking knees in the 3rd. It would be a much bigger slap in the face than scoring again, and again and...

Can we see Jason Wright in the game. I had Earnest Graham in my lineup but for some reason I thought Atlanta would shut him down so I put Wright in there. Thank God I have Brady as my Starting QB and Stallworth as 1 of my receivers. I'm up 8 and counting with a goose egg from Wright. My opponent has Brandon Marshall still to go so I need at least a 20 point cushion.

It's amazing. I hope they score 100 tonight. That line is so good. Brady could take a dump back there and still have time to throw TD's to Moss. Grossman could throw 35 TD's on this team - Brady will throw 60. Honestly, how can people be mad watching this? This team was put together flawlessly.

And just like that, in come the crybabies. What a bunch of sensitive little girls. This is FOOTBALL. If you can't handle it, play some ####### defense!

Anyone else see the ball hit the ground on the reply of Watson's TD?
They didn't show it slow enough, but I thought I saw something. He may have had it without an issue, but I did notice that. He already had possession, so doubtful it would have been reviewed.By the way, to all the "classless" folks. There are 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. If it was any other team, no one would say a thing. I am not Pats homer, although I did stay at a Holiday Inn and Brady is my QB, but many, many, many teams go for it on 4th and 1, because if you don't get it, the Bills are backed up at their own goal line.If people really think that that is a questionable situation to go for it on 4th and 1 so close to the end zone, then you aren't football fans. If it were 4th and 1 at midfield you might punt it. 4th and 1 at the 25, maybe you kick the FG, but 4th and 1 at the 3 is a no brainer when the defense hasn't stopped you yet.Oh, one more thing. There were 9 minutes left in the freaking 3rd Quarter!!!!! Should NE just stop going for TDs to let the Bills get closer?

Okay now that changes things a bit.

If the Bills are going to wimp out and kick field goals when down 42-7, then maybe they do deserve to get kicked in their collective ######s.

You know what would make this game legendary? If that Pats started kneeling their offense NOW to silence their critics.

They'd still win. And it'd be sooo characteristically pompous.

:lmao:

What comes around goes around, they will get theirs before it's over, Karma is a "B"
Dude, you have been saying this for like the last 5 weeks and nothing has happened. I think the correct thing to say would be, you're a "B" so man up.

:censored: Can you imagine the crying and whining if Brady took a knee in the 3rd quarter? The 'my feelings are hurt' crowd around here would be up in arms. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.BTW, I'm a Vikings fan  but this is a spectacle to behold and I'm enjoying every second of it.

That was extremely unsportsmanlike. :X

Where do I go to nominate a series of posts for 'best ever'?

Just a reminder with the Rams beating the 49ers. Currently the Patriots have the 3rd overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Imagine all the draft day maneuvering they can do with the 3rd overall pick.
