Game Thread W12 - Kansas City V Seattle (1 Viewer)

No WR in the NFL is playing as good as Bowe right now. None.

Helps that Cassel is finally starting to play like a legit QB, too. Some real nice strikes on that opening drive TD.

really? none? do you watch other NFL games? dude is overachieving
:X Yeah, 1st round pick, widely-acknowledged great physical skills, back-to-back 1000 yard seasons with dog#### at QB to open his career, leading the NFL in TDs now, and he's overachieving? OK, guy. Care to name anyone playing better?Good luck with that.

Unreal. Seahawks are the flukiest team in the league. Surely they can't beat 2 AFC West teams alone with miracle special teams?

Are they just brutal on offense?Havent watched them but have followed since picking up Lynch who can't get over 2 yards on a carry.

Haley is an idiot:

Rushing

ATT YDS TD LG

J. Charles 10 83 0 27

T. Jones 9 20 0 4

Why in the world would you continue to split carries between two backs performing at those different levels?

Charles to the 1 yard line then someone else comes in for the TD, never seen that happen!

I know I know, the team scored a TD and thats what they care about

there's no "i" in team. or in charles.

Honestly, I don't have a real problem with the goal line stuff -- frankly, a 325lb dude getting half a yard is a lot more likely than Charles taking a handoff 3 or 4 yards back -- but I really can't stand the continued use of Jones in early-down situations. 1st-and-10 is always 2nd-and-9/10 and that ruins offensive gameplans. He should be used as a breather at this point. Early in the year he was playing well, but he's breaking down lately.

That doesn't mean all players have equal ability and should all be entitled to play roughly the same number of downs. The coach owes it to his organization to put the best players on the field.

8.3>2.3. If you try to hand the ball off to Charles in the early downs, you won't get as many 3rd and 8's. This is almost maddening.

Exactly. He doesn't give Charles a chance to get a rhythm going. Many times he is just left in for one down, makes a good gain, then gets taken out.

I own Bowe in exactly zero leagues, my god he is going nuts this year, how many TD's is that he has to be close to 15

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
How does that play show that Bowe is playing better than any receiver in the NFL? He was left wide open on the play.
8-120-2 TD...in the first half.13 TDs on the year. 2 more than any other WR, and he's still got a half left to go. Yeah, he's overachieving. :lmao:
On a team that throws about 25 times a game no less.

That's the idea behind "overachieving", right? Posting big stats exceeding what would normally be expected of player with a given talent level? Granted, he may not be overachieving, but just displaying his stats doesn't prove anything either way.

This is his potential given his talent level, check any scouting report when he was drafted. There's a reason why he went so high.It was never an issue of physical skills with Bowe. The fact that he was always a bit nutty was the problem.

Charles is deceptively strong for a guy with his speed, agility and moves. He's consistently moving the pile, something Jones isn't doing at all. It's not all open-space running, though clearly he's the best in the league in that regard.

:X :yucky: :angry:I'm sure anyone watching saw that stiffarm on their DL at the goal line. He was stuffed for -1 and turned it into a TD after shrugging him off, the mere 200lb speedster that he is. Wow. This is something we haven't seen from Charles before. I didn't know he had that in him as well. Yeesh.

OMG, he continued to give it to Charles at the goal line! And he didn't get stuffed! Just like last year, and unlike Jones half the time.

"Un-necessarily extended his arms and pushed the QB to the ground." WTF?? Is this not football anymore? :goodposting:

Of course, as I type this, Travis Daniels gets his revenge by picking off Hasslebeck.

That was such a laughable call. The league continues to protect QBs like they're made of glass...not that Daniels' bare touch could've hurt Cassel, nor was it late or illegal.

Cassel is playing legit lately. This performance is a confidence-booster, too, because he's been weak on the road, better at home.

Seattle does suck, but he's doing what's expected.
