Game Thread W12 - Philadelphia V Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Today will further the cause for a regime change in Philadelphia, starting with the head coach & quarterback.

Man.... :angryeaglesfan:

Hopefully, the critical nature of this game for both teams will bring out their respective best efforts. Despite their recent missteps, I give the Iggles the edge in talent but M&T oughta be rockin' today and the Ratbirds have the third best home field record in the NFL since 2000 (after NE and Indy).

A patchwork Oline keeping the pass rush off Flacco will be the key to Baltimore staying in this one. The Eagles need Donovan to get hot because I think it unlikely that they'll be able to hang 200 yards rushing on the Ravens like the Giants did.

If anyone has found a working video stream, a PM would be much appreciated.

Deja vu from last week. Eagles driving on the cusp of the red zone, and Jarret Johnson forces a McNabb fumble.

This one looks like it could make it to halftime still scoreless. Defenses dominating, though the Iggles showed a little life before the turnover.

3rd and 2. McNabb has Westbrook open in the middle for a first down, decides to go deep and its picked off by Fabian Washington.

Looks like McNabb hasn't worked on his decision making from last week...

Ratbirds about to squander decent field position after the pick. Iggles front seven the best unit on the field today so far. They're dominating the Balt oline.

The Eagles D is hitting their groove. Looks Superbowl-ish. Now if 5 could get his head out of his butt.

where is the short passing game to West?! IF you want to save some pounding on him, throwing him some passes in open field would be a good way to do it.

It would make sense for the Eagles to do screens to Westy to get the offense in rythym and help McNabb get some touch on his passes.

Too much sense...

Never understood why an illegal forward lateral is a dead ball. If they muff it up, and the defense gets it, it should be considered a fumble. By definition, a penalty should never benefit the guilty person.

Couldn't tell if the birds ended up with that or not.

Horrific, everybody go deep play calling again. Of course it hides just how inaccuarte McStiff is on shorter passes. That last pick by Reed was especially horrendous. He needs to be benched. Seriously.

Don't understand the ruling there. Didn't the Eagles recover the fumble? Were the Ravens essentially rewarded for it being a forward lateral?

Yes, awful, awful rule. Way to go, Demps. Can we please place this game in someone's hands other than mcnabb's? his decision making is so pathetic right now.

Checking in from another game.

Does McNabb deserve all the blame? Are his receivers getting open? Is he getting any protection from his line?

TIA

Can you recover any other incomplete pass?
I guess we will see in a minute

I'd like to be able to offer some sage advice to Harbaugh and Cam Cameron, like try more dump offs and screens to the backs, but I'm afraid that the Eagles D is just a far superior unit to the Ratbirds O. Their best chance to make things happen today might be off McNabb mistakes.

it technically is a pass, but its not the same as a QB stepping over the line. The rules should account for a change of possession, or maybe a non QB throwing a "forward pass".

It is exactly the same as the QB stepping over the line! You can only have one forward pass and it must start from behind the line of scrimmage. And McNabb is out!

Eagles get there first 3rd and 1 in about 4 tries. On a run of all things.
