Game Thread W12 - Pittsburgh V Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Anthony Smith with a great tackle on BJ Sams. That's the kind of special teams play we're going to need today.

I'd like to watch this game, but Dierdorf is AWFUL. I could watch with the noise off, but my ADD would kick in.

End of the 1st Q and the Stillers appear to have weathered the storm. Now settling down into the kind of game where yards are gonna be tough to come by.

Power drive there for the score, J Lewis and Mughelli just running over guys. From a homer standpoint, it's really good to see this kind of intensity from them today.

TD Lewis. Steelers need a score in the last 4:21 before the half to stay in the mix here.

Najeh returns kicks? I guess I haven't been following things as closely as I should have.

From one perspective, this may be where things start to get interesting as the Stillers open things up with the passing game. The Ratbirds have been burned in the air this season and Pitts has hung a lot of points on some people.

Uh-oh, Bart Scott just laid the lumber to Ben and he's not getting up. That'll make all the highlights tonite.

He's better than the NFLN crew the other night. Specifically Gumble. His brother is so much better.Hopefully Ben just got the wind knocked out of him.

Eeep, FG on third down. Ravens had no timeouts, but there were still 15 ticks on the clock and they were in the red zone...

How come Anderson is in there...is Lewis hurt?
Nope, this is their normal RB rotation, especially when they're up a couple of scores. Three big guys carrying the load, trying to wear the defense down, just like they did to the Falcons last week.Pretty good half for the Ratbirds. Shutout, KO of Ben and two pretty efficient drives for TDs.

Good 3 and out stand by Pittsburgh D to open the 2nd half. Seems like they're gonna shoot the works, coming on every down to try and make something happen. Opportunity is there for a big play, though. Looks like Ben is gonna come back in.

Ravens are consistently pinning the Steelers inside their own 20 to begin drives. Steelers offense needs to get something going PDQ.

What a catch by Nate Washington. I think this is the first time the Steelers have crossed midfield in this game.

TD Adalius Thomas. Roethlisberger is having somebody come free in pursuit on every single throw. That may seal the deal.

While it wasn't exactly inevitable, it has been characteristic of the Ravens defense this year to keep gambling and hoping to make a big play just like that one to break the other team's back.

Man this is ugly. It's like watching Bledsoe back there. GB not playing vs BAL D.

Edit: lol @ putting Boller in there. Salt in the wound

oh btw

:towelwave:

Boller in for McNair. Good chance to get him some work.

I have to say that of all the teams we've played this season, this Baltimore team looks to be the best by a decent margin as we never were really in this game. Good luck to the Ravens the rest of the way.
