Game Thread W13 - Pittsburgh V New England (1 Viewer)

I almost never agree with kicking the field goal so close to the goal line, but in this case, when getting the first down doesn't give you the TD, it was the right play. Very happy to see the Pats up 7-3 so far, but the Steelers put a long drive together there in the cold and sleet and are were able to move the ball pretty easily.

 
Patriots lead off the drive with back to back runs. Nice blocking as the Steelers rush just 3. Deep ball dropped by Randy Moss after another nice blocking job by the Pats O line.

 
Looking like it's gonna be a great game. With Baltimore and Indy winning today, this is as close as you can get to a must win game for both teams.

I thinik this is only a must win for the Pats. The Steelers can still likely win their division if they beat the Ravens in a couple of weeks.

Good point but the way Balt is playing, I don't want the Steelers to have to depend on winning against Balt.
 
The pattern continues for the Steelers this year: the defense plays just great. No complaints there. The offense- that is another story.

And with how hot this Patriot offense has been lately, Big Ben and co can't afford to be so unproductive. As good as the Steelers D is, you gotta figure the Pats will move the ball on at least a few of these drives, as they're doing right now.

 
This Steelers are getting killed on these spots. This is the second time the ball was placed which really favors the Pats.

They gave it to him where he caught the ball. It wasn't that controversial. I'll trade you the foot or so you wanted for the pass interference call that the refs missed earlier.

I'd like to see that catch again before I agree with you. And why don't we trade it instead for where they put the ball on the third and one by Russell. They gave him a terrible spot, and that was the difference between a TD and a FG for the Steelers.
 
The left guard was moving on that offsides call, but it wasn't really a flinch. Bad penalty for Seymour (and Wilfork) to take there.
