Game Thread W13 - San Francisco V New Orleans (1 Viewer)

did horn get hurt on his catch? i changed the channel, and when it came back he was getting looked at on the sideline...anyone see the play?

No Joke... he appeared to take a Brees fastball in the crotch. Caught the ball though. The announcer said that is why you should catch the ball with your hands in front of you.
 
Beauty run and determination by Bush. Too bad i'm playing him :unsure:

eta: it was a screen to avoid any misunderstandings, but the run after the catch was nice.

That's why he was drafted #2 overall. great run. Juked one guy broke another tackle and carried 3 guys 5 yards

 
Announcers are praising Bush dangling the ball out there...

I'm not so sure that's a headsup play, especially on first down.

 
Bush may never live up to all the unreal hype he had, but anyone that calls him a 3rd down/scate back is analyzing him with blinders on.

I don't think there's any question Deuce is a better goalline back. Don't think one TD changes that.

I think on 1st down they wanted to give Bush the TD after the hard run. He needs to make sure he holds on to the ball trying to cross it over the plane.

That's exactly what it looked like to me. A reward for the hard run on the reception.
 
I just saw the halftime highlight of Bush's reception and run down to the 1. That was a hell of a good play.

 
They probably gave Bush the goal-line run (for a TD) because he earned so much extra yardage on the play before.

What's the update on Joe Horn? Is he out for the game? What's his injury?

Reaggrivated his groin on the first target. I doubt we see him with the way the game is going.
 
Whole running game is clicking right now. Bush is running strong and Deuce is averaging 6 yards a carry as well. It'd be a crime not to run the ball atleast 30 times in this game.

this is where, in past games, payton gets cutesy and does lots of play-action to deuce, even down close to goal line...gotta just keep pounding him and mixing in bush, both guys running wild.
