Game Thread W14 - Detroit V Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Good luck today, Lions fans. It's a nasty day here in Charm City - 30some degrees and raining, no wind though.

My guess is 24-9 Ravens, but I can't figure this team (Ravens) out. I think we're looking at a heaping helping of a run game today, with a few big pass plays. I look for the D to have a big day even without Suggs & Reed, though Calvin Johnson is basically uncoverable by the putrid Ravens DBs.

I'm not watching the game but why not go for it there on 4th and 2 from the 50 if you are the Lions?

Wassup, rk1292? You guys getting ice/snow up there?
It's trying its best to stick. Looks like we're right on the freeze line. Gotta go to Hanover later today, might be slick. After a good run, Rice fumbles away the first scoring opportunity for the Ratbirds.

WHAT HAPPENED? I'm getting a -8.8 for Rice losing 88 yards!!!
I know. 3-8-DET 12(10:50) (No Huddle, Shotgun) J.Flacco pass short left to R.Rice to DET 6 for 6 yards (D.Smith). FUMBLES (D.Smith), ball out of bounds in End Zone, Touchback.

No Ed Reed again today but I thought I saw Suggs in there, maybe his last game before the criminal charges are levied, lol.

Ravens look like they're doubling Calvin Johnson on every play. It still might not be enough.

Lions actually look like a football team. KSmith has great vision so far....really doing a nice job bouncing them outside.

Hanson misses a 45 yarder

I was in Hanover yesterday. Be careful out there, GB.Lions missed the FG. The Ravens need to put a foot on their throats & I think Detroit may lay down.

so where are all the nimrods who claimed Culpepper gave the Lions the best chance to win? He flat out SUCKS and can not throw the ball more than 20 yards with anything remotely close to accuracy. his deep balls have all been 10+ yards under thrown. he's done.

Ray Rice has made me his ##### and taken away my hard earned scrillas

I hope this pansy matchup means the birds' offense is in sync for the late push, anyway

I don't know if it's important at all to note, but the Ratbirds just don't lose to teams with worse records than them under Harbaugh. And that happened all the time to the Billick teams, like in the last game they had with Detroit. Even with six losses this year, they have all been to teams that are probably gonna be in the playoffs (which is another story).

I guess it's also pretty obvious that most of us never dreamed that Ray Rice would turn out to be this kind of weapon. He's been about the team's only bright spot this season.

Is Rice out?
He was shown with a jacket on and his helmet off during that last drive. It's 34-3 and Detroit can't stop even McClain/McGaheee, so I'd imagine Rice is done for the day and Flacco, Mason and Heap aren't far behind.

It's mop-up time. I didn't see Ray Lewis in on the last defensive series and Troy Smith will probably get some work here soon.

Yep. Get Flacco, Mason, Heap, and the entire starting O Line out of there. Matter of fact, I don't want to see a single starting-caliber player in the game.Btw, I like the Schwartz's passion. I think he'll do well in Detroit.

He was steamed and rightfully so; the Ravens aren't a dominating team this year and this game shouldn't be the laugher that it is. I haven't seen the Lions much this year but it seems that they've taken some baby steps forward and Schwartz probably doesn't want to surrender any small progress to a woefull performance on a crappy day in Baltimore.
