Per NFL.com there were 2 incomplete short passes to Tiki. Were they caused in anyway by his injured thumb??? Just concerned.

They were bad throws by Eli. One was on the ground before his feet, the other was too far infront of him.

Giants offense stalls all the time when they throw on first down. It never fails. 3 throws in a series by Eli is a sure recipe for a punt or FG.

Steve Smith a forgotten man again this week? (not watching the game)

He dropped one pass, and he caught another for 20 yards. The Panthers have had a lot of 3 and outs. Smith just got another pass for 12 yards. Most yards were gained after the catch.

Not true at all, he is just having a bad half, i have all thte confidence in the world that if Tikiwould be out a game, Jacobs would get 90+ yards easily

Or perhaps that if everybody in the stadium knows that the play call is RB up the middle, an NFL defense can stop it on occasion, no matter who the RB is.

I think Jacobs is better between the 20s then inside the 2. MJD is a perfect example that bigger doesn't always mean better in short yardage. Coughlin is just too dumb to realize that Tiki is just as good if not better then Jacobs in those situations.

Anyone see this play? It was orignally credited as a sack and forced fumble for Peppers. Now it shows this:
