Game Thread W15 - Atlanta V Seattle (1 Viewer)

Atl defense just got dominated on the opening drive. Lynch 1 yd run.
Master, told my wife a bit ago, if Baltimore holds up for the win, Atlanta has SUCH a great chance to put this away vs. Seattle and I have a bad feeling it'll be the day the Seahawks show up.
It would be hard for the Saints to win the division but I don't think a win today ends the race. They can still catch up to Atl and beat them in divisional record tiebreaker. A loss today really affects the #1 seed chances, I was looking today if they lose 2 out of 3, they seem to be able to lose a lot of tiebreakers if others win out.

Agreed, but with 2 games up on them, and having Carolina at home to wrap up the season, they win today and I'd bet almost anything they get a bye and home field advantage even with a loss to Saints next week. They will beat Carolina at home. Just need a win today.

Awful spot on the Ryan slide, by about a yard and a half. best to follow it up with another one. Carroll challenges but he should've challenged the first time. Oddly enough, if he wins this challenge then it ends up better for the Hawks with a turnover on downs. Still, Carroll has had a bad go at challenging at bad times so I'd like to see him challenge better regardless of how this turns out.

eta: challenge upheld, more bad challenges (or lack of) by Pete.

Going for it on 4th and 1 again? The Falcons really don't respect the SEA D-Line
They've only needed inches both times.Anyone else's feed keep going in and out? we've got bad weather here in L.A. with rain going sideways but not losing signal on the other TV.

I'm sure I've said it before, but man does Gonzo and White have some amazing hands. Many drives have been saved by those two.

White drop forces a field goal. Wacky series. Falcons lucky to get 3 because they fumbled twice but probably should have scored a TD after that if not for the self inflicted wound of holding.

WTF are they calling? Gonna go 3 and out taking about 20 seconds off the clock. Definitely do NOT try runnign the ball after the success in the first drive, that would be a terrible idea.

Well, we gave them 3 free points basically. Hopefully not another mistake before the half. I'll take 10-10 at this point.

It just occured to me how fortunate the Hawks are to have home-field for this game. When you think about how far the Falcons had to travel in that school bus, head banging together all the way, and the 3 hour time change, it's gotta take some of the wind out of them.

 It is Pete though....
Atl went three straight passes too.
When you have Ryan, Gonzales and White it's a much better route than Hass, Williams and Obumanumanuau.
Depends when you do it I think. That close to half, if you pass 3 times and then give the ball up (punt or TO) and get the ball back for a two minute offense like they did, you are passing possibly 15 or so straight plays. When there is 4.5 minutes left and you are an offense hoping to take it all off, I don't see why you don't rush on 1st or 2nd. Get the clock moving and likely not stuck with a 3rd and 10.

Now I'm pissed. RUN THE ####### BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the yellow hankie on a hands to the face call refs!

These refs are pretty bad today. Most of the calls (spots) have went our way, but that definitely wasn't a hold.
I really wasn't thinking they were bad, just a few off calls. Now they're bad. No one near Hass and the defender and they miss a blatant shot to the face?!

This is what happens when you don't play smart. Get down and then Hass tries too hard which almost always leads to INTs. Combined with more bad playcalling (naked boot in the EZ?!) and a tight game turns into a rout.

Really hating the refs more. Gonzales took out a D on the Jeknis (Jennings?) TD with no call. Facemask called when it happens to Ryan but not to Hass. Bad spots. Falcons are the only one of the three "teams" out there playing at a professional level.
