Game Thread W15 - Miami v Buffalo (1 Viewer)

This Bills team has A LOT of holes to fill, but how can they not seriously consider one of the stud QBs in this year's draft? Fitzpatrick has ALWAYS been inaccurate and he has ALWAYS stared down his receivers. He's just not the type of QB that will ever win you more than 8 games a year.

Screw you Buddy Nix for saying that the Bills won't be considering a QB in the first round. I was excited at the start of the season, ok with the extension at the time, but it was clearly a mistake. Fitzpatrick sucks. He has no accuracy at all. He may be a good leader. He may be smart. But if you're not accurate or extremely athletic, you can't play QB in the NFL. He's horrible.
When did Nix say that?
This past week. I understand not wanting to admit the extension was a mistake, but not admitting that it was a mistake when it CLEARLY was just compounds the issue. He's horrible. Yes, the defense is brutal, but Fitzpatrick is directly responsible for so many losses due to his extreme inaccuracy, tons of turnovers and complete inability to hit wide open receivers deep. Steve Johnson's agent should have every one of those cued up to show the Bills his client should have had about 300 yards and 4-5 TDs on the season.

Good thing Stevie Johnson hasn't made any mistakes this season.

Considering how banged up he's been, I don't think Bills fans can complain about his performance this year.

Nix and Gailey were drooling over Cam Newton in last year's draft. How could they not jump all over Robert Griffin III?

Yeah, but his have been more of the "bonehead" variety versus the "suckitude" variety. The offense showed what they can do with a competent QB when Fitz played well at the beginning of the season. Fred Jackson is awesome. The offensive line has actually been really good. Stevie Johnson has been very good and the only guy in the world capable of consistently beating Revis. Chandler has been a good TE when healthy and the rest of the WRs have shown some ability (in between being hurt all the time). All they need is a better QB and they can be a top offense.

I've been dreaming about him in Buffalo but it doesn't seem possible given their early season success and his Heisman winning season.Luck and RGIII seem like the obvious top two picks in the draft and the Bills won't have the pieces to move up that far.

Maybe it's not over. Bills score. Recover onsides kick. And are driving for another score down 10. Good thing they missed that FG!

I would give up the rest of this draft and the entire next draft for one of those two. They have a lot of other problems, but it would be worth it IMO. Use free agency to fill in the defensive holes then because I don't think the offense has many holes outside of the QB position.Heck, I would take Barkley too. Easily.

I'm not so sure Griffin goes that high or is even the second QB off the board.

we'll see I guess, but I think Cam Newton's success this year helps him a lot. He doesn't have the size but I think his stock will continue to rise.

The problem is that Indy will be taking Luck. Then you'll have Cleveland and Washington also drafting ahead of Buffalo. So there's Luck, Griffin and Barkley gone right there. Buffalo would have to move up to get one of them. The Jags could seriously think QB as well. Buffalo's early mirage of success completely screwed them long term. So Fitzpatrick doubly screwed the Bills. First by putting them outside the chance at a true franchise QB and then by signing the extension and completely sucking.

Don't forget about Kellen Moore. There is a good chance that the Redskins will be picking after the Bills. Maybe Cleveland too.And as much I as I want Buffalo to draft a QB, they should absolutely NOT give up the entire draft to move up. They have way too many other needs they need to fill in later rounds.

Kellen Moore?Isn't he more like a 4th/5th round pick at best?

Do you think if we went back to when Brady or Manning were drafted, that it would have been worth it to trade 2 drafts for one of those guys? I do.

I thought he was projected as a first-rounder. I could be wrong. :shrug:Although I believe Landry Jones will also get consideration within the first 10-15 picks.

Not necessarily. Combined, those two QBs played for approximately 30 seasons. Total Superbowls won? Two. And those came when Elway had a good defense and a very good running game. You need to be good on all fronts to win a championship and the Bills are not anywhere near that right now.

Nevermind. I was thinking about the guy in Houston, Case Keenum. Not sure he'll be drafted at all.I don't know what Moore's value is. I like him but he's also just 6' tall. Even Brees didn't go until round 2 at that size.
