Game Thread W15 - New England V Miami (1 Viewer)

OK here's my deal.

I'm in the Big Show in two of the four leagues that I participated in this year. Tonights game could make it three out of four.

I'm currently down by three points...

I have, Vinateri and the Patriots D/ST

He has, Dillon

(High performance league with bonuses for yards and attempts. Field goals are three or four points and D/ST TD's are worth six.)

Lets Rock and Roll.

Need the Horny Beavers to bring me to the SHOW !!

:horns:

okay...a trip to the SB hangs in the balance: I'm up 16 and he has Brady and McMichael playing. I need a frigging miracle. Here's hoping for the Corey Dillon show. No TDs for both is my only hope. why oh why did that friggin ref call Cato June out of bounds!?!?!??! :wall: :hot: :wall:

How's Branch? My opponent has him and I'm up by 6.5 points. Basically 6 yards and a TD and I lose in the 2nd round of my $$ league (I still would go on to play the Owens owner for 3rd place and $80 or so).Mike

Did anyone else see that phone number appear on the screen when Sammy Morris dove in for the TD? I had to Tivo it to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Is this some new form of subliminal advertising?

How did that guy get tackled on the punt return??????? I'm going VS NE D and special teams...wouldve been -10

:tinfoilhat: NOPE !!But I'm hungry for PIZZA !! :D :horns:

Well, I need Dillon to score about 30 for me to win, so I'm pretty much done, but I have noticed one thing this year: Dillon is pretty damn slow for a RB. I still don't know how he had that massive game a couple of years ago. He gets caught from behind and from the side all the time.

I've got a terminology question. Michaels and Madden called the Patriots running TD a draw play. I thought a draw play was basically when the QB was in a shotgun formation and handed off (often with a slight delay). However, Brady was directly behind the center on the play. What constitutes a draw?

The last two drives (one Patriots, one Dolphins in progress) have lasted nearly twelve minutes combined- almost the entire 2nd quarter.

Yep. This game will be over by 11 PM EST. Both teams have forgotten the forward pass is a legal play.

woo hoo! -2 for Brady. after that opening td i figured i was toast...but this is getting interesting all of a sudden. another nailbiter for me this week. :loco:

My understanding is a run play in which the line initially goes into pass protection.

Could the football gods please give me two more turnovers by Brady? Fumble or INT works...i'm not picky. and no tds of course....for mcmichael either. kthanks.

A draw play is when the offense fakes a pass play and then runs. The lineman start by dropping into pass blocking, thus "drawing" the defensive linemen upfield, then the QB hands off to the back who was mimicking pass protection. It doesn't need to be from the shotgun. It's basically the opposite of a run-action pass.

No defensive linemen. The Patriots usually find ways to keep the game interesting. They're a fun team to watch.

If I were the Dolphins, I'd use it as a sign of no respect for my O-line, RB's and ability to audible.I'm not certain if the Dolphins can really do anything about it though....

miami with the interception
Someone out there in the fantasy football world went into this game trailing by a good margin in his IDP league and only had Sammy Knight playing. That person is now :pickle: :excited: :pickle: :excited: :pickle: :excited: :pickle: as he takes a 1 point lead.
