Game Thread W15 - Washington V New Orleans (1 Viewer)

3rd and 1....Betts on the bench...and Campbell drops the snap. Can't go for it on 4th and short because?? ugh

yea, NO had 3rd and 8 and tried to run a sweep toss with Bush that lost 4 yards.

The Saints have only thrown down field one time so far. Right now, it is a lot of running and it isn't going anywhere.

it's so nice to have a real QB. finally :pickle:
We haven't had a QB throw that pretty of a deep ball consistently since Rypien circa 1989-91. Simply beautiful.
c'mon, Heath Shuler threw a beautiful ball :banned:I was in DC a few weeks back just after elections and ended up standing right next to Heath on the street corner waiting on a light. I congratulated him on his political win while internally restraining myself for taking out a lot of built up anger against him for his ineptness as a Redskins

God Warrick Holdman is a liability at WLB!

Yes, I'm in the comfort of my own home, but you're a starting NFL WLB and you can't beat a pulling guard in the open field who you have a step on to the outside - where the play happens to be going BTW - and you instead choose to cut upfield where the guard can cut block you and the RB can run by you? WTF?

Smart challenge by Payton - he won't win but the half's almost over and he may break up the 'Skins offensive rythem.

What is being challenged?By the way, all you people going against Santana Moss, expect a huge game. I'm facing him and he always goes off against me.

Let's get some points boys! A TD on this drive would really be a slap in the face to how well the skins have played today. Still...this game is setting up like every "trap" game i've ever watched. I would pay good money to hear what is said in the locker room during the half.

They seem intent on running the ball no matter how little sense it makes.

How on earth did they not reverse that? Moss' hand was clearly between the ball & the field. Why even have replay if they're not going to use it properly?

13-7 with Brees circa 70 and 0... whoulda thunk.

(wooooohoooo)

Though I'm sure some junky 74 yd throw to Colston will happen.... always does.

Wow, Brees is terrible today. What's going on? Does he look disoriented?
IMHO combination of things. The Saints look flat to me as a team (tipsy's right about this being a good trap game - the 'Skins have been playing worse than their talent for almost the entire season) and the 'Skins defense seems to be playing well against the run and aggressively against the receivers. Even when guys have been open - and there have been several examples - Brees has missed them. Henderson's drop hurt too, though they did end up scoring on that drive.

 Looked like a catch to me, although Campbell has no reason to throw the ball that low. It seems like every time they try to clarify the replay rules, the system gets worse.
