Can someone explain to me why Gardocki is still punting for the Steelers? They should have kept the rookie they cut in the presaeason.

Clayton 5 for 87 and a score. Considering McNair is 6 of 8 for 91, looks like he's a new favorite receiver. 1st quarter comes to a close 7-0 Ratbirds.

exactly.....it makes no sense.
Pretty weak showing from the Steelers offense so far. Parker has gotten a couple of decent touches, why not let him go with it?

Personally, I think a bigger problem has been the offensive gameplan.

McNair picked and the Steelers have good field position. A pass and a scramble and they've got 1st and 10 on the Baltimore 23 with a minute and a half left.

Agreed. I'm a little tired of all of the Ben bashing. Has he been great this year? No, but let's think about all he's been through this year and remember the fact that he's still only 24 years old. I still like Ben as the Steelers QB.He has has some bad games (and this so far is one of them), but he has also had some good games this year; he is not garbage.what has he done this year? he has been terrible.

I'm tired of hearing about it. There are like ten threads discussing this but yet we have to hear about it every ten posts in any given thread. Give it a rest.Agreed. I'm a little tired of all of the Ben bashing. Has he been great this year? No, but let's think about all he's been through this year and remember the fact that he's still only 24 years old. Ben is not perfect and you can make legitimate critisms of his game. and you Steeler fans should just let it go.As far as this game Baltimore needs to be careful especially with that series there at the end that let the Steelers back in it. Baltimore has really controlled the game and I like their playcalling. I'm switching back and forth between this one and the Saints/Giants but I like what Baltimore is doing in this game and really all season. Nice play to Heap there on the 3rd down.

This team is really different with Billick calling the plays. They are not going to be easy to beat in January.
Ben has thrown 20 INTs this season. Doesn't he still lead the NFL in picks? Glossing over that by saying "Ben is not perfect" is goofy. I wouldn't call him garbage, but I wouldn't disagree with someone that thinks he is, either.
Seriously, Roethlisberger has had substantial issues this season but he has not been the main problem lately. He's not going to get supplanted anytime soon, nor should he. No sense in getting in a twist about it either way, though.

You know, I figured the STeelers learned their mistake from the last game and won't forget about FWP ad try to get the ball to him. Even though the matchp sucked, it was better then SA's when you factor in that he should get a couple catches in space.I don't know why I bother even wasting the brain cells.
